It is never a time you want to have to face, to farewell someone you love. My Mother chose to do a prepaid funeral with Walkers 17 years ago. Arriving there shortly after her death was a surreal experience for me. I'd never done this before! All the staff I encountered met me just as I was, and shepherded me through the process. They were always calm, professional, considerate, and kind. I had a need for detail, in the music, in the slide show, the order of service, and they accommodated and supported me in all my requests. They never made me feel like I was being too fussy and in fact reassured me that they were there to make everything as I would like. The resultant funeral was a beautiful celebration. and a very rich experience for all who came. Many thanks to you all!!

Losing a family member is so hard but Walker Funerals provided us with much support, empathy and a seamless process. Would highly recommend!

Funeral costs were well above the quote and when queried no reasons were forthcoming and at such an emotional time there wasn’t the energy to follow up.Headstone was erected and gilding failed within 18 mths, an approx timeframe for gilding to last was 10 years at least. Repair was done in situ.Within another 18 mths gilding failed again, headstone removed for repair.Here we are not 12 mths later and gilded lettering is worse than ever.Walker Bros tried to blame rain drops falling from leaves, there are no overhanging tree branches or trees. They won’t answer calls or emails.Dept of Fair Trading has had to be brought in to resolve this.Time frame to date is under 5 years, less than half the expected life of gilded lettering.
