Sunburnt Beach campground

Free campsite right on the water!!! Beach is absolutely sublime. Saw a couple of fishermen pull in some fish off the rocks. Heaps of wildlife that are really tame (especially the wallabies). You have to walk all your camping gear down to the site. Excellent place to camp for young and old!

You have to walk everything into the campsite and the toilets are a long way from the campsites. Most sites lack privacy. Very nice beach though.

Great camping spot. Campsites are only a few metres from the car park, but you'll need to carry your stuff. Good clean, modern, well maintained long drop compositing toilets. Very close to beach.

It's a lovely spot,highly recommend ,meanwhile have to take a little bit risk if you are not 4wd

Amazing campground and so so cheap! The toilets are quite nice and the campsites are huge. So close to the beach as well which is great for a morning or evening walk. Lots of wildlife around and so quiet. Already planning our next trip. Make sure you take a 4wd though cause there are some large bumps that I know my Camry wouldn't be able to take.

Overall a great campsite. Free access (don't need any national park passes or bookings for campsites), campsites are clearly numbered each with their own firepit and logs as borders and seating. Very close access to the beach with amazing sunsets and sunrises and offers brilliant stargazing opportunities. Beach is relatively secluded - check out the nearby Stokes Island. Broad range of facilities including toilet (that flushes) and even picnic tables that overlook the beach and surroundings. Road access is through a dirt trail and the campsites are all dirt surfaces (which can get quite muddy during wet weather). Also beware of possums, keep all food within view or stowed safely away. Certain campsites are within close proximity to one another - limited privacy.
