Victoria & Albert Guesthouse

To organise a stay here you will need to book several weeks in advance. Yet it’s old world charms are worth making the trip to Mount Victoria. There are so many places now that have made Mount Victoria vibrant again. From the cafe and old vintage stores to the style of arriving at the historic railway station, the local cinema Vic Flicks and several walks that you can make into nature locally. If you drive there on Bells Line Rd you can also visit Mount Tomah Botanic Garden - Mount Wilson historic homes and gardens and even journey to Lithgow. The best of all is that you don’t have to use the Great Western Highway at all whether you travel by road or rail. How many days is enough - at least two nights and three days. Then you too will have experienced the magic of the Mounts.

Recently under new management V&A Guesthouse has had a lot of love put into it - by restoring the heritage bones and refreshing the fit out makes this a lovely place to stay. The staff are also caring, detail orientated and accomodating.

A must stay! Booked here for a wedding weekend for 3 nights. All the staff were amazing, friendly and accommodating to all requests - going above and beyond at any opportunity they got. The rooms are a great size, all have their own unique character. The linen and towels were great quality and added so much extra comfort to the experience. I would 100% recommend to anyone wishing to enjoy a weekend away. Can’t wait to be back!

My family treated me to a weekend at this magnificent, grand residence for my Birthday. Josie the Manager was the best host. Nothing was too much trouble. Derek the Chef, cooked magnificent food and is a fantastic character. So refreshing to have such authentic humans who make your stay at Albert Victoria a memorable experience. Rooms great, beds super comfortable. The ambience is exquisite.Will be returning for sure.

Visited beforehand looked at the restaurant menu which was pretty standard.. Decided to book and made a telephone booking after a conversation with them which was CONFIRMEDArrived promptly at 7.30 for dinner and was told we did not have a booking loudly and some babble about if we were guests in the guesthouse which we weren't and that that they were oh so busy". After we decided to go to a Thai restaurant instead they were suddenly found a table . The telephone booking we made was not recorded in the bookings list at the restaurant causing us embarassment .If you're going to run a restaurant be efficient as it speaks volumes. Can't help but wonder if a different ACCENT had made the booking if would it have been listed???! Puts us off from ever supporting to hem again."

Spent a very pleasant night there last night. Lots of old world charm. Loved sitting on the veranda and also watching the beautiful birds feeding whilst eating breakfast. Great attention to detail and warm helpful staff.

The Victoria and Albert is one of the most stunning 'Grand Dames' in the Blue Mountains. We are very lucky to have such a fabulous establishment in our beautiful, historic village of Mount Victoria. The new Catherine Martin wallpapers, decor, Derek the chef and wonderful Josie at the front make this a lovely experience.
