The Point Resort

Let me start with the positives... Gorgeous location and fully functioning kitchen and washer / dryer.. staff seemed pleasant and organised key collection for after hours arrival which was simple and convenient..and that's where it ends.Looking at the reviews my expectations were definitely were NOT met.. not even close.The bed we requested was King, we ended up in a queen, which normally would be fine but we were sharing with our 12 month old.The lifts were out the entire time we were there and so we needed to trek from one side to the other and wait for the one working lift.Now let me be honest about the room. The bedroom light was blown, the carpets were old, threading was coming up and it was stained, (let's just say our white socks did not stay white)The dishes were dirty, the furniture was old and sunken, cords from the old tv were visible and messy, there were some issues with the shower and to my horror mold on the curtains..For the price I definitely expected much more.

Stayed for work. Is one of the nicer hotels in the area and is priced accordingly. The place was comfortable and everything worked well. One note being a self service apartment would have been helpful if there was a vacuum and or broom or something to clean up any accidental mess during the stay, especially for guests arriving and leaving all week during out of ours. Staff were lovely.

Perfect location and our unit was a good size.Unfortunately the unit, especially the cupboards in the kitchen had a musty smell that was unpleasant.Overall , we enjoyed our stay, and the reception staff member was very friendly.

Found this place on a bit of a whim and managed to secure a last minute 2 bedroom waterfront for the family. Wow, what a location! Absolutely stunning views and just around the corner from a heap of great playgrounds, water holes and some unique beaches. Sharon, the onsite manager, was incredibly helpful, friendly and an absolute pleasure to deal with, and made the stay.The rooms are starting to show their age a touch, but are so well setup and spacious, you can forgive any minor things.Full kitchen, 2 bathrooms (2 toilets, 1 shower, 1 bath shower), and washer/dryer, made it easy with the 2 kids. Will definitely be back!

Another short stay @ The Point" Bargara in February. Love the prime location. Our favourite corner 1 Bedroom

My son had to have surgery in Bundaberg so we had to stay local for two weeks after his surgery. We decided to go to Bargara and are not disappointed at all with choosing The Point Bargara to stay at for the two weeks. The location is amazing, nice quick easy walk to cafes, and beaches. The staff have been amazing and friendly. The managers Sharon and Craig are just next level. Sharon made us feel very comfortable and included my children in Christmas things and made us feel comfortable. We stayed in a 2bedroom ground floor apartment and it was great for the kids to be able to play around on the little grass area, it was also a huge bonus that their was putt putt golf, table tennis and a pool to keep the kids entertained. We wish Sharon, Craig and the staff a very merry christmas and thank you for our two week stay. We will definitely be back.

Great location however our 1 bedroom apartment/studio with a sunset view overlooking the hummock was definitely looking very tired. We also had a real shock to find a very suspicious & reasonably large blood stain on the mattress protector on the bed. Fortunately we took our own bed linen to swap over anyway because of concerns of COVID risks. We mentioned the stain issue to Sharon, the manager, & she was so lovely about it. She was very apologetic.Lack of adequate dishwashing detergent & dishwasher tablets was definitely an issue too as we stayed 4 nights & only enough supplied of each for 1 night.The bathroom vanity has such a big awkward bowl, which had a major crack down the front of it, but it was so awkward to get up close to see in the mirror because of the size of the vanity bowl & so very difficult to get close enough to put in contacts each morning.It’s sad, but no wonder, people prefer to holiday in Bali where quality & value for the same money is far more satisfactory & more like an enjoyable holiday with the best of provisions & service.Would we return? NOIt really is not a ‘resort’.Would rather go to Bali where we get room service every day

Had a lovely weekend at The Point resort, Sharon the manager was lovely and very helpful. The resort was just a short walk into town and the Golf club. We stayed in a sunset unit on the 5th floor, very well equipped kitchen with everything you need, very comfortable bed. To be honest the unit could with a little updating, the outdoor setting was a bit rusty so didn't use it much. All in all a very pleasant stay and will definitely be back. Absolute stunning views, shame the family had to stay in this dump! The photos are clearly over five years old and need an honest update. The mini golf; however did make up for it all if you like to hit a small ball with a half snapped rod. Can’t believe we had to put our food in the fridge when it’s more rusty than an old gate. Maybe it was the weather, but did not appreciate the stay!
