Can Highly Recommend Kate and her program. My Now 8.5 year old was a Chronic thumb sucker From birth and I had tried everything, Reward charts, glue, creams, thumb guards and nothing worked! We then heard about Kate and her thumbs away program, we commenced when my daughter was 7 after her Grade 1 teacher commented it was causing issues and within a few days Of starting she had stopped Completely and within 6 weeks of the program her thumb never went near her mouth again and still hasn’t! For any parents who Are desperate and have tried it all, give Kate a call it really does work.

We are so grateful to have found Kate. After trying everything we could think of to help our daughter stop sucking her thumb at age 6, we found immediate success with Kate and 4 years later our daughter has never looked back. Our daughter still speaks fondly of Kate which is a testament to her beautiful, kind manner. She really made our daughter feel empowered to stop sucking. Thanks to Kate's experience we also identified orthodontic issues which we were able to address early. Thank you so much Kate!

I highly recommend Thumbs away, Kate is absolutely brilliant! Both of my kids were finger suckers and through Kates program they were both able to break the habbit. It is one of the best things I have ever done for my children.

After struggling to stop my 5 year old son sucking his fingers for over a year, a colleague recommended Kate. Without Kate we would never have know our son was sucking his fingers to open his airways at night due to enlarged tonsils. After having his tonsils removed, Kate was able to stop our son sucking his fingers within a week of starting her program. Kate was able to form a great rapport with our son from the first meeting and he loved going to see her. The connection she made with him (and the little gifts) really helped to motivate our son to follow the program and achieve a fantastic result. We would highly recommend Kate at Thumbs Away.

My 4.5 year old sucked her thumb from birth (probably before!). I was so happy to find a program that could help us stop this - as I had tried so many things before - without any success. Kate has a wonderful manner and connected with my daughter straight away. My daughter really looked forward to her visits with ‘Doctor Kate’ on a Friday afternoon! The program was concise, easy to follow and made sense. We’re so grateful to Kate and so happy to have a 5 year old who doesn’t suck her thumb.

Kate is a magician, she will hypnotize your child and get them to respond in a way you would never have thought possible. Its a commitment from everyone but you can really trust in Kate to get that thumb out of their mouths. If you're thinking, 'really but what can she say or do that's so different than we are doing already', push that thought out of your mind, and book an appointment, put you faith in Kate she really is that good!

Kate is a miracle worker! She had an amazing way of connecting with my daughter, who shocked me by being on board with Kate's programme from their first appointment. I thought there was no chance she'd willingly give up thumb sucking. It was a hard journey for my daughter to adjust to life without her thumb, but Kate was there to support us both through it and the programme was a huge success.

My 7 years old daughter was so dependent on her dummy. I was beside myself with worry for it was having implications on her teeth, and socially she was hiding it from her friends. Felt like I had absolutely failed her as a mum by allowing it to go on so long, but I had tried everything! Every suggestion, every gimmick, and nothing had worked.. one visit to Kate and my daughter happily gave away the dummies- I thought this is not going to work- but she never asked for them again and the difference in her teeth over such a short period was amazing! Highly recommend!

Kate is amazing with the kids and helped Zoe finally stop sucking her thumb. I couldn't believe how easy Kate made it and how well she worked with Zoe to make a plan and stick to it. Thank you !

After a consult with the very knowledgeable Kate from Thumbs Away we have said goodbye to my daughters dummy. With Soph being so young still and the impact the dummy was having on her teeth and jaws, we decided cold turkey was best for her and she coped so well. The change in her teeth in a very short time has been amazing and I'm glad we made this decision with the help of Kate. Kate has also given us some fun little exercises to get Soph's lips and jaws functioning correctly. Kate was so patient with a not so cooperative little one and offered lots of advice without putting any pressure on us. Highly recommend Kate to anyone wanting to help their children get rid of the dummy or stop thumb sucking!
