I was charged $279 for a high pressure power steering hose that I was told had to be manufactured because the part was obsolete.I have found this to be untrue. Repco sells the part for $84. So I was mislead and overcharged.I’m not happy and will be getting the right part put in by another mechanic and I will be approaching Richard Kelly Automotives for a refund of $279. Not happy to be ripped off

Brought my car there after it broke down because of an issue that 3 Mechanics before that weren't able to completely fix. Now the electronics issues that remained finally are gone.Service was quick(~half a day) and price was very fair.I am one happy customer, and can only recommend them.

First of all I would have to say that this business has to be the cleanest auto shop I have ever seen. Not a tool out of place. You could eat off the floor in the workshop. And the yard is not cluttered with old cars and junk like most others I’ve seen. Everything has its place. They offer you a loan car if you need one or a lift. Kev, the mechanic is very professional and friendly. I knew that my battery wasn’t working very well and had to be replaced and I forgot to tell him that. He rang me 15 mins after I left the car there asking if I knew that the battery was nearly dead and had a price for a new one. I thought I needed a new clutch as my previous mechanic told me two years before that I needed one. He drove me around the block in the car and did the clutch test with me in the car telling me there was plenty of wear left in the clutch and I didn’t need a new one yet. Kev is honest and reliable and I highly and strongly recommend this business to anyone. You will not be sorry.

Richard and Kelly automotive beat even the cheapest automotive such as Mycar tyre and auto on price. They also have a complimentary car you can borrow for free while your car is been repaired. Plus they have the nicest staffs that are costumer friendly. Since I came to Townsville, they have been my number one garage to take my car for repairs. I have never had any issues with my Car.

This place is awesome, bit of a mum and dad operation but they have the contract for townsville taxis, so not a small deal. After hitting a kangaroo some time ago the air dam (very underneath front skirt) of my car was cracked in the middle and was hanging down to rub on the kerb when I parked. I put the car in for a service and a couple of days later my wife says 'did you fix the front off the car, it's not hanging down' No, I didn't fix it, the mechanics did, looks like new. I may have to replace it one day but you can't tell it was broken. They didn't charge for the repair or even make a song and dance about fixing it. Very impressed, old fashioned service and mechanics in clean overalls, lol. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Richard Kelly Motors checked my daughters Holden Cruz which had starter motor issues on Tuesday morning. In the afternoon they called me that it’s ready to be picked up. I expected the bill to be in the hundreds. They explained the problem. What a pleasant surprise when they indicated not to worry about the bill.
