The service from the Customer Relations Team at Europcar was very very poor. They failed to follow up the issue and blamed it on the bank, I made 5 phone calls to them and each time I was provided with different information (even when I spoke to the same person on two occasions).I will never consider hiring a vehicle from them again.

A very deceiving company. Not upfront with customers regarding costs. Alot of hidden costs.1. Charge for premium location when it is a shuttle bus to the pick up point.2. Ridiculous insurance excess $8000! Forcing customer to pay more to lower the excessNone of the above points were outlined during the booking process.

Terrible.We had a flat tire 2 hours north of Perth in Western Australia.We called over 10 times to the Europecar emergency roadside service that was included in our rental but no one answered.We had to put the spare and drive at 70 km/hour, over the distance that the tire said it was safe to drive, in the only road in the area that was often just one lane which we made slower for other cars and it was unsafe.We even tried a couple of stores to buy a new tire but we’re told it was an unusual one and not in stock.About half way we called the Europecar general number. The person that answered said he was not equipped to contact road service and suggested we drive to Perth airport but offered no other help. At our request promised to call and tell them of our problem to expedite process once we arrived.The airport was even further that our hotel in the city. In rush hour by then it took us about 5 hours to get there. No call had been made and they even tried to charge us for just a tad of gas that was low.No apology about their lack of service.After talking to a supervisor and complaining that they saved themselves a road service and the gas for them to come to us they eliminated the charge.Our vacation all the way from the US was ruined for that day. We missed activities planned and more than anything felt unsafe and mistreated.We did see two Avis roadside trucks in the way.Even the check in was poor, attendant was on a personal call and we had to wait and did not seem knowledgeable.We never received an explanation or apology from Europecar.

I will never go again with EUROPCAR (Brisbane domestic airport), I had a very bad experience in 2022. Very rude moustache guy. He wouldn’t allow me to rent a car…. I was fortunate enough to try with another rental car and it was ok without any problem ms. The guy at EUROPCAR asked me to have my driving licence translate in English (I had a European one) I told the guy that it was impossible to have a driving license in English… he asked me to have it translate by a professional translator) I stopped the conversation and went to AVIS, where my driving licence was OK…. I don’t recommend EUROPCAR at all

Put a charge on my credit card 4 months after a rental without notifying me. I thought it was fraud and cancelled the card. No apology or acknowledgement from the company. ACL guidelines warn rental car companies against charging customer cards without notification or the opportunity to dispute the charge. Europcar seemingly think they're above the law.

My God, this is the single worst customer service experience you could possibly have. 4 months after a company rental they contact me to charge me an extra $170 dollars. Then when i try to direct them to the company that booked and paid for the vehicle they cant do anything but keep sending me the bill and telling me they will only take a bank transfer and wont charge the credit card they had take payment from. They do not listen, cannot speak english properly and are absolute rubbish. What a shocking way to follow up and fail to solve the most basic of issues. Choose anyone but Europcar

Bad reviews. Believe it, go elsewhere. Hired a car for 17 days, gave me the keys to a Cupra, didn't know what it was, nobody showed me anything about the car. When returning, I was parked in where I stayed and was 1 hour late bringing the car back. Yes, they billed me an extra day, without any explanation, I should have smashed my way out and returned it on time, I had full insurance cover.

I was given a loan car at Europcar by my insurance company after an accident. When collecting my loan car, I was told by the Europcar team member I should take premium insurance for the two week period whilst my car was being repaired. I agreed and paid for two weeks in advance. My car had long delays in repairs which were totally out of my control and my insurance company continued the contract for my loan car. Without any invoices, consultation, requests for consent or any communication whatsoever, Europcar charged $1099.78 to my credit card for premium insurance. I did not consent to this as I did not ask for the premium insurance to go further than the two weeks I had already paid for. They are THIEVES. Their customer service team patronised and humiliated me. I feel sick to the stomach they are getting away this behaviour. The most disrespectful and disgraceful company. Absolutely no moral compass. Thieves!!! Bloody thieves.

Would give 0 stars if I could.Pre paid online only to arrive at the airport and our booking had been given to someone with the same surname as me. No one apologised for my privacy being breached as this man now has my personal details including home address and credit card details. They created a whole new booking for us and assured us we would not be charged again however I have now had money taken out of my account 4+ times totalling almost $3000.Customer service have been of no assistance telling me I need to supply evidence but only getting in contact with me via “no reply” emails so it’s impossible to do anything.Worst experience I have ever had, thank you Europcar for emptying my bank account the week of Christmas.

Europcar have stolen $1100 from our account illegally over what they claim was a premium insurance package" which we never signed for or agreed to. We have contacted them daily for 2 weeks and received nothing but disinterest
