Modern Roof Restoration

Absolutely horrible sales rep was aggressive and the price was insane could not wait to kick him out of my houseIf I could I would give - 5 stars

$220 call out fee 15 min drive away and when they got here they only checked the meter. Yes that's right $220 to read a meter! WHAT A DISGRACE!

DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!We had our roof restored in 2012. It cost us over $8k. Upon recent inspection of the roof, it was noticed that there is a developing growth of moss on the lip of numerous tiles. There is also a number of ridge capping tiles where the pointing work is starting to split. There is one instance of bubbling and peeling of the coating.Modern Group Adelaide was initially contacted in 2015 about these issues. At first the receptionist put us through to a person who said that the production manager would get back to us to arrange an inspection time. In our discussion he did mention that the mould proofing of the tiles during the initial restoration warranty did not include the growth of moss on the lip of the tile.After no contact for a couple of days, the Adelaide Modern office was rung again. We asked for a copy of the warranty so that we could check what is included and what is and is not included in the '7 year Guarantee; No other company offers a 7 year guarantee on their roof coatings, sealers and Mould Rid'. The receptionist informed us that the production manager would contact us as soon as possible to discuss our concerns. We did ask for a copy of the Guarantee to be e-mail as a pdf file, but she said the production manager could provide that for us. Nope, they all got thrown out apparently when the record keeping system was upgraded .A production manager came out to look at the non-replaced cracked tiles and in his written report, ’the structural integrity of the tile was not compromised’ so they were not replaced. He also stated over the phone that, ‘it took him half the day to travel' to where we live from Dry Creek.We have had several friends and family follow our journey of roof restoration with the Modern Group. Currently we have numerous tiles where the paint job is fading, still have cracked tiles (that were never replaced years ago in-spite of what the contract stated!)Putting a review up on another site, some nameless person from Modern wanted to get in contact with us to discuss these issues. If it was too much trouble years ago, what has so suddenly changed? Anyway, they would probably get some guy out here to merely slap a bit of paint on the tiles that are fading.Be warned, it is an expensive exercise that does not last the distance..........

LOL. Don't waste your time making appointments with these guys.First appointment got cancelled 30 minutes before the scheduled time - I was already on may way having left work early to make the appointment. If I hadn't called up to check on the second appointment the same would have happened again (if I was lucky). I understand that staffing may be impacted by COVID-19 considerations, which was the latest reason provided, but a call earlier in the day when they knew the appointments were for 5pm would have been more professional. Clearly not interested in my business.

Fantastic. Perfecft.Two large roller shutters installed.The whole experience was a pleasure from start to finish, and the shutters are fabulous. Pricing was very good and installation was perfect.Thank you very much.

Huge delays, poor communication and misleading tactics. Was left out of pocket on damages they refuse to compensate for. Do not use this company

Stay Away, horribly over priced, overly aggressive sales tactics. I would not wish this company on my worst enemy.

AVOID. Terrible and aggressive. Tried to sell overpriced product. Do not recommend. Went with others, better price, excellent service.
