We loved the natural shots taken of everyone engaging and interacting. The colours were beautiful. Max is very collaborative and open to ideas, wanting to ensure the photographs and locations reflect meaning and a narrative for the participants.

Max just recently took photos for our wedding. We could not thank him enough for his amazing work , excellent service, he made our wedding day stress free.... Max has the most approachable way, before and after our special day. .. would highly recommend.

Past tense photography took on the job of photographing my wedding (Wollongong NSW, location) when they lived in Smithfield NSW, in the lead up to my wedding they moved to Queensland and assured me that they would still shoot my wedding, and after 5 rescheduled flights they DROVE 15 HOURS ONE WAY to make good on their promise!Past Tense Photography goes beyond professional, absolutely outstanding service and truely an amazing person to top it off.Photo quality is amazing and their eye for detail and editing is insane! So excited to receive the promo photos from Past Tense Photography. Max has expertly captured exactly what was requested after briefing him on band promo pics. He was very easy to contact, asked questions to clarify what was required, kept in touch regarding time, place and a date change, due to an emergency. On the day he was well prepared, managed my awkwardness by being very easy to work with and the photos were ready within 4-5 days. We had fun clambering into tight spaces but the result was amazing. Highly recommend his work.
