Mirage Weddings

Attended a family wedding last weekend at this venue and was full of expectation for such a beautiful spot. Scenery was amazing, venue extremely poor. It needs a lot of money spent on it. I understand we have had a lot of rain recently but the damp musty smell from the moment you walk in is very strong. We stayed from Friday to Sunday and our room also smelt musty and was very damp. Other members of our family who also stayed advised the same. As for the wedding day, feel so very sorry for the reception staff - 3 staff to cater for 85 guests, extremely understaffed. They were expected to do everything from bar tendering, serving meals, clearing tables and set up dance floor. Everything was running behind, tables not cleared, huge line up to get service for drinks. Meals where served cold by the time we got it, so can not really review food well. This is not a reflection of those 3 staff they were amazing, worked their butts off and where very professional. On another note there is no disability toilet available for guests. As we had an elderly relative using a walker using the small toilet cubicles was extremely difficult. This is something that should be rectified in this day and age. As for the front of house staff they are so unfriendly and unhelpful, many other guests commented the same. Overall the venue is in poor repair, such a shame for such a beautiful spot.
