The Steve Wozniak of garage doors, this is a family business passed from father to son and run out of mum and dad's garage, friendly service, great prices but you need to remember it's a mobile business and so just leave a message if Michael can't answer the phone. No idea what the negative reviews are about, car rental isn't their business and Michael is first generation Aussie from a hard working migrant family who all speak quite fluent English so no idea what the language issue one is about. Perhaps competitors that aren't happy this business exists.

Had the springs replaced for my double sectional garage door. I had rung around to get enough quotes and also even had someone come to quote for free (the quote was outrageous). Blacktown Garage Doors was by far the most reasonably priced. Michael explained the process and the importance of having the correct springs and not to just buy prefabricated ones. Also why not to install them yourself and the requirement to have professionals install them instead since it can be dangerous.At the time of install, Michael arrived at the time discussed. Was professional and easy to talk to. He very happy to discuss topics on the repair and answered all my questions with honesty. Provided advice on on what preventative maintenance should be done to prolong the life of the springs, door opener motor and bearings. Michael took his time to ensure the work was done right and professionally. I would recommend Blacktown Garage Doors (Michael).

If you wish be treated like a second class citizen...... have the phone slammed down on you by a part time worker who is not proficient in English when you are trying to be of assistance in sorting out some problem caused by these same people.. and have them forget to turn up at your door to fix up some query you made, but will always insist on their money, then you have come to the right place.I had my garage door motor replaced by this company as the cog pulling the chain to open the door on mine broke. The motor was still running and was relatively quiet. Feeling that there was no need for a complete new system, I was delighted when I found these guys who said they specialise in fixing my model of motor and will replace my one with a reconditioned one.I was happy with that and the work proceeded. The other motor they put in was far noisier than my existing one so I called the next day to query this. A lady by the name of Anita answered and said she would relay the message to the installer. This never happened and I waited for them to contact me for their money as I had withheld payment until the work was corrected.They did indeed call back two months later asking for their money. When I reminded Anita of our previous conversation she admitted she forgot to relay the message.She also told me that the noisier motor was actually the one in better condition than the one I previously had. All that noise and vibration apparently emanates from a motor in good condition while a quieter motor is near the end of it's lifespan. This was hogwash to me, so when I spoke to the installer, he then suggested a brand new system at a reasonable price.So now they got me buying a new system as I did not trust I would not keep having the same issues with the reconditioned motors.After the work was done, I was given the account number by the installer for the payment to be deposited. I basically deposited the money immediately and waited from my promised receipt upon payment. When that did not materialise, I emailed them again to query why I did not have my receipt. Anita called me back to tell me I was supplied with incorrect account number.I mentioned to her that this was not my problem and they should go to their bank and query it. She told there was nothing they could do.SO to try assist I went to my bank and spoke to one of the bankers there. Although he agreed with my assessment I called this company in his presence to see what can be done. Anita answered again and, while my banker was trying to tell her something, she gave the phone to somebody else, who - I later found out from the company -is a part time worker there and not very proficient in English. He started shouting that the bank cannot help them and wouldn't listen to my banker trying to reason with him. When I asked to speak to the installer (whose command of English is better than this part time worker named Stephen), I got the phoned slammed down in the presence of my banker.Still, my banker took me to their bank, spoke to a lady there who was all too happy to assist by tracing the account where my money would have gone, and notified anyone in possession of that account should they incorrectly receive the money. As it turns out, the account was invalid so no one was paid incorrectly and my money was returned to me. Now anyone could have asked for - and received - this service, so why the big fuss about the banks not being able to help, I don't know. But what I do know is that these people are rude, arrogant and totally oblivious to any responsibility they may have.My call should have been given to someone higher up in the company.. to someone who could assist or at least attempt to communicate. I got treated like a second class citizen there. Time will tell if anything happens to my garage motor while under warranty if I will be met with the same excuse of after sales service that I previously encountered. There are many places that do garage doors..... this is one to avoid.

It is 27/12 and 40 degree heat and i called micheal regarding our broken garage roller door. He asked for photos and gave me a very resonable price AND came the same day i called. I really appreciated the fact that he came out same day i called n was given a fair reasonable price (we gave a little bit extra) as i was appreciative of his prompt service. Thank you thank you thank you. I would recommend you to everyone.

AVOIDRepaired roller door ($120) was good for two weeks. Arranged for him to come look again to repair his repair, didn't show with no phone call to say he couldn't make it.Made constant phone calls and left many messages without any reply, gave up in end.Bad customer service and and obviously poor workmanship on first repair would not recommend to anyone

Blacktown Garage Door fixed my 6.4m wide garage door at Rouse Hill. I had a broken spring and the door has 4 springs that were all replaced. They are the most honest of the lot in this industry and I spoke to 5 different garage door repairers. He gave a very, very, very reasonable quote and came on time and even fixed other things that were wrong at no extra charge!

This company is beyond a joke and should not be in business. We sent them an email the same day they came to quote to go ahead with the job but they did not reply until 8 days later at which time we told them that we arranged for another person to do the job as we assumed that they were either too busy or did not want to do it and we wanted it done as soon as possible. Their reply was the most rudest, inappropriate I have ever had the displeasure to receive from a company, I was stunned. And along with that they sent an invoice for $100 for coming out to do the quote or they would see me in court! Fat chance as their web site says free quotes". Stay well clear of these people. They are totally unprofessional. A One rating is being over generous!"

Used their services to fix my garage motor. Michael knew what is wrong the moment I told him what's happening. He was able to attend the same day and job was done in couple of minutes. He also gave me some good tips about the remote. Learned something new today. Very professional and good communication(and polite). Highly recommended.

I recently had an accident where by the garage door was badly damaged to the extent that I was told that it could not be repaired at all. My only option as I was told was to replace it with a 5k-6k worth of door and pay another $600 to $800 for just making the door close mechanically for keeping the house safe. Part 2, Michael from Blacktown Garage Door gives me an approximate quote over phone which I could not believe as the amount was less than half of what most ppl quoted and showed up later later in the day. He worked on garage door while indulging my young kids (without compromising on safety of course) and got the job done which not only allowed the door to be closed but also restored full functionality so it could be operated using motor, just like it used to before. Such professionalism, great skills, price and a wonderful person. Highly recommend Blacktown Garage Doors for all your garage needs.
