I purchased the small batch brew kit as a complete novice after I decided to jump straight into all grain brewing over extract brewing. Man what a ride! There was ups and there was downs but nothing that Anton cant help you with and then there was my first beer and it was nothing short of amazing! I am not joking the beer i made the first time using this kit brought a tear to my eye it was that good. My advice is buy the small batch brewing kit and learn the process of real beer making, brew, brew and brew some more and join the small batch brewing community online, they are a wealth of really good info and will help you with any issues you have.

Such a fantastic local brewery that has a large range of absolutely delicious and carefully crafted beers. The sour is by far the best sour ever created by man and easily enjoyed by the non-beer drinker while the other tap beers are also delightful. They change taps regularly to keep the excitement going! Such a wonderful spot with fantastic views for Mudgee locals or tourists!

Beautiful beer, the stout was fantastic, it could have been a little warmer as I feel as though I missed out on all the flavour. My wife drank her first beer ever , a beautifully constructed sour. You achieved something I couldnt in 30 years if Marriage. I will be back in the winter for the stouts. Best wishes for your up coming wedding.

Small Batch Brew brought everything regarding home brewing on point. I can truly call myself lucky, to own such an awesome kit. Let me briefly explain you why:1. Webpage/Products/Delivery:The webpage is very well designed and looks really stylish. There you can find all the information required to brew at home. You can buy recipes kit (highly recommended for newcomers like me) or you can buy the ingredients separately (e.g. hopps, malt, yeast etc.). Once you ordered yourself a kit, it will take 2-3 business days until it arrives (the delivery can vary of course and depends on where you live). I received a very nice box (approx. 3kg and which had the size of approx. 3 shoe boxes).2. My ordered product “All in One Home Brew Kit” + 1 additional recipe:Now coming to the best part. I ordered the full Kit which includes all the equipment you need in order sanitize your equipment, to extract the malt, to brew and to ferment your beer (you only need to have at least one big 10L pot (I recommend two Pots of this size and a big spaghetti strain, otherwise it can get a little messy). and of course one recipe which you can choose. I additionally bought a second recipe since I couldn’t decide between those two options.Every recipe kit comes with all the required ingredients. The malt, the hops (vacuum sealed to keep them fresh), yeast and priming sugar. The ingredients looked very high quality. To deal with the correct amounts, I recommend to use a more or less precise scale (especially for adding the hops and the priming sugar in the end).3. Extraction/Brewing/Fermentation:The whole procedure is very well explained with a timeline and printed out on a little recipe card. Additionally, you get an A4 sheet with the FAQs and some additional information on how to use an auto syphon (which you can use for transferring your wort into the fermenter and for bottling/kegging).For the extraction part, I highly recommend two large pots and a large strainer, since you deal with around 8-9 Litres of wort. Once you did that, you will start to boil your wort and add the hops from time to time in portions (get a scale for this). Once everything is done, you will have to cool down your brew and then transfer it to the sanitized fermenter/carboy (there I will definitely change to a sanitized funnel and not use the provided auto syphon). A simple thermometer is include in the package to control the temperature. After adding your yeast, you close your carboy with a provided stopper and bubbler.4. Then you let your home brew fermenting in this awesome looking fermenter (see Picture taken on day 1). Right now, I am on day 3 and planning on how to bottle my beer.5. For bottling I will get 10-15 flip top amber bottles (330mL) and a spring-loaded beer bottle filler (AUD 4.0-6.0 on ebay). I think this little item will make my bottling way easier. For a nice carbonation of your beer, they provide you with priming sugar.I am, all in all, a very happy customer and will be even more happy once I tried my hopefully successfully brewed beer. Don’t hesitate to mail them, they answered me for instance within 2 business days. Can’t wait to start brewing my second recipe.

I recently decided I wanted to get a pine flavour in a beer, like a Christmas beer. Anton suggested using using a Saison. Ill tell you what it was a winner one of the best beers I have done. A few friends enjoyed it so much I invited over one weekend for a BBQ and beer brewing class to show them how it works. The only way I learnt how to teach others was the clear instructions I got when starting with the Small Batch Brew kits and the odd question to Anton. I highly recommend Small Batch Brew as its given me the confidence and skills to try all sorts of different mixes.
