Benalla Rose Garden And Playground

A great little find that we stumbled across. A gorgeous town with this amazing park and botanic gardens. The park is very tactile and nature based. We loved the rope climbing, sand and water play areas and the rocket slide. There is an enclosed gated space which is covered by shade sails. BBQ facilities with picnic tables all undercover. Public toilets with baby change facilities. Toilets are very clean and well maintained. Lush gardens and trees surround the play ground as well as manicured rose bushes. Easy parking off the Main Street and easy access back onto the highway. Highly recommend a stop.

It is a great asset to a nice country town. The gardens on the river combined with picnic and BBQ facilities make it a great rest area for any traveller.

This is one of the best public gardens in Victoria. The facilities are excellent. There is a rocket ship for the kids to climb and electric BBQs for the families. There is plenty of parking along the main road and the Broken River makes for a beautiful backdrop. Be sure to visit the Weary Dunlop statue when you visit.

Great place for a break on the long drive. Beautiful roses and good spot for a picnic.

Beautiful place to walk around and take pictures but the public toilets were an absolute mess.

Lovely park & playground. Next to Botanical Gardens. Each play zone has its own landscaped space, really well laid out. There is a hammock to rest in but it's not very comfortable, you'd need a thick blanket on top to enjoy.
