TerryWhite Chemmart Edgeworth Town Square

On the 12/09/2022, I booked for a supervised RAT test at the Edgeworth Terry White Chemmart - Town Square for the 14/09/2022. At 11:30am on the 14/09/2022, I received a confirmation/reminder email from Terry White Chemmart of my scheduled appointment time. Prior to my arrival at their store, I rang their shop and advised of my arrival to their store, but was told by a staff member I don’t have an appointment scheduled. I stated that I received an email confirmation, reflecting that I had an appointment. I was encouraged by staff to approach a chemist in the Glendale area instead. I arrive at Terry White Chemmart - Town Square and confirmed with the register staff that I was at the correct store, as reflected in the confirmation email, who lead me to the pharmaceutical staff. I was met with gross service from 2 of the 3 women behind the counter. 1 member re-suggesting I attend the Glendale pharmacy for my supervised RAT test as they do not have the time to perform my test. I showed this woman the email confirmation of my scheduled booking time. The woman approached who I assume to be the pharmacist, who directed I look at the stack of scripts they are currently working on and states: “I don’t have time to do a RAT test on you”. I spoke to the pharmacist and asked her why my appointment is being overlooked or dismissed and noted I had done the right thing by pre-planning this appointment, booked in my desired time and had received 2 confirmation emails from the Terry White Chemmart - Town Centre of my appointment . I was ignored, and tended to by another woman who attempted to call their counterpart store in Edgeworth. I waited patiently and engaged with all staff respectfully and demonstrated an understanding to their high work-load which was pointed out to me by the pharmacist. The woman returned and stated that their other store is also “flat out” and neither will be able to perform my supervised RAT test. She continued to say that they are extremely busy, under-staffed and no one had had their lunch break. I took this opportunity to politely advise I too, have not had my lunch break - having attended their premises for the purpose of receiving what I thought would be my seamless, 15 minute RAT test, noting that I have come from my workplace. The staff member continued to advise that they are unable to perform a test and suggested I come back at another time. I pleaded with the staff member and urged them that the purpose of my test is to validate my international departure tomorrow and noted that this is a requirement. After becoming emotional about their blatant and ongoing dismissal and outward minimisation of the importance of my appointment, the staff member seemed to approach the pharmacist and they all reluctantly agreed that if I come back at 3pm that I MIGHT be able to see another pharmacist for a RAT test. I reminded the staff that I have allocated this time away from work to have my test and it’s a lot to ask that I simply rearrange my work day to accommodate their failure to time manage and prioritise appointments. The staff member reviewed my confirmation email and seemed perplexed; all the while acknowledging that my appointment exists, but stated: “that’s so strange! It’s not in our system”. I challenged that comment and noted that it was hard to believe as bookings and confirmations don’t just apply to one involved party. I left the premises in tears and scrambling to find another chemist that could perform the test I required to travel.

Appalling customer service, little or no mannerism when it comes to dealing with the public.Would not recommend the sales team found them rude and arrogant.

Always go to this chemist the staff are great I've going there for a very long time they are great it dose get very busy around lunch time and just after school runs . The staff always help with any questions

Very unprofessional staff. Don’t bother make appointments for vaccinations or test because they refuse to attend you even if you have a booking confirmation. Not even appologised and they sent you to try luck with another pharmacy. Waste of time.

Had a rather urgent matter to attend to, due to being caught in newcastle due to rain. The staff at Terry white edgeworth were great and friendly all sorted in quick time, thanks to them all.

Went into this chemist yesterday for advise on beauty products everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you staff I will be back.

Absolutely disgusting customer service. The service staff are beyond rude and down right nasty behaviour. The staff need to be removed.

Super great service. Just had one of the service ladies DELIVER some medication to us personally, we didn't ask for them to deliver at all. Easy to access medications that we need! Super!
