Strawberry Fields Patisserie Cafe

Had only just discovered Strawberry fields for a coffee on the go tucked away from the road a couple of weeks ago. While waiting I couldn't help but notice Tina giving serious attention to shaping and reshaping the curd for a small tart held in one hand while moulding and smoothing and filling the tart with the other. Then i watched Tina brush the tart with a glaze and move on to sprinkling pistachio crumble to the edge , touching the top with another sprinkle and topping off the tart with a micro flower......pure art and only several more to do among the plethora of treats to follow.Wow when someone loves their work and takes their skill seriously , its a pleasure to indulge in it as i have being doing ever since. Not only do the cakes and tarts look incredible but they jump at you from the counter.My coffee turned up and so did my first purchase of one of the tarts a rhubarb and pitachio tart. Beautiful and delicious. They are ALL delicious and the pastry is perfect.I have returned a few more times since and had a veggie pie and a beef and stout pie among the cakes.........how good are they. So I'm back today with my wife savouring the mango cheesecake and lime tart......so damn good. Took a chicken and beef pie and pork fennel sausage roll home to have later. Looking forward to it. I ordered a full-sized New York cheesecake last week for the weekend with only a couple of days' notice, and the entire ordering experience was smooth and with no fuss.Of course, then we got to eat the cake. I was blown away by how delicious it was - so smooth and creamy - and at such a good price.You just gained an extra regular customer - thank you!

The best croissants in Dulwich Hill; especially fresh from the oven. A family run business that has an amazing section of cakes and pies. The strawberry cream sponge cake is decadent.

Friday treat: local bakery Strawberry Fields Patisserie does cracking tarts. It’s both within my Inner West Council LGA and less than 10km from my home so no Australian Defense Force chasing me. The lime tart is filled with a sharp but creamy lime curd, while the custard tart is all about oozing, creamy, nutmeg-sprinkled custard in a firm tart shell. It’s a small, family-run bakery that is being doubly impacted by the lockdown and badly-timed construction with ugly fencing over their front door. Worthy of your support!

I've visited here countless times since moving into the area about six years ago. There's always a nice variety of cakes and pastries so on any given day you're likely to see some familiar items but also some new items. Amongst my favourites would be the apple crumble; almond croissant; john scroll; and the lime tart. The different mousses are also something interesting to try. I've also had a few cakes made to order as well: baked cheesecakes and chocolate mudcakes often come with a lovely arrangement of fruit and honeycomb on top - great stuff!

This place is stunning! we have tried about 15 different types of cakes and pastries and they were incredible. Not too sweet, perfect balance between the flavours. Always very friendly staff ; ) they use fresh ingredients and they are creative! I would highly recommend this place and it's great price for perfect quality.
