Terrible experience in this dirty neglected motel in serious need of a makeover to bring it into the 21st century. Had ivy growing through the window from the jungle outside the back. Cringed when I had to take a shower at all the mould. Sagging mattress must have been over 20 years old and no light fitting in the room. The dish cloth was so old I couldn't bear to use it or the stained tea towel, along with the fridge with spilt food and drink. Note to owner: clean everything!

The rooms have everything you need and the mini kitchenette with microwave is a bonus. The bath towels are the best quality I have had in any hotel - big and fluffy. The motel is just a bit tired and could do with an upgrade. The location is good with an easy walk into town or the beach. Road noise and other guests leaving the car park early can be a problem so rooms at the rear of the property are best

Can't believe I paid $300 per night for this. We do frequent weekend trips and have had amazing and much cleaner places for cheaper prices. There was a used dirty towel in the bath. cups and dishes were stained and the spoon drawer was dusty. The window shades were torn and seemed at least 100 years old and the windows simply had nets fitted. anyone could remove easily and get in or peek from the sides. The extra bed they put for our kid, blocked the door from fully opening. Can't mix hot/cold water in the shower and the wash basins drained extremely slow. Doesn't look like they have staff to clean. Just the family doing whatever they can???? which is not much.

It’s very dated. It was raining when we arrived so the Grey outside paint work made it look grim like a cell block and the room was dark even with the lights on. The whole place looked 70’s style, there was a sheet over the sofa which wasn’t a good look. The bed linen and towels did look clean. The worst part was 2 other guests, they looked very unkempt and they walked past our room looking in and then went back to their room, it was if they were checking us out- there was no need for them to walk past our room as we were further down the landing well past the stairway. We did not feel safe or that our car would be safe. This made us leave and find another place to stay.

We only stayed one night. Bathrooms need an overhaul as not good for elderly people with mobility issues. The kettle was that dirty you wouldn’t dare use it. Compared to what we paid for a nights stay in nearby towns it was pretty bad.

Leaking toilet blocked bathroom sink and spa not working managed a 30dollar refund very disappointed never go back, was so far away from being worthy of a 200 dollar a night stay. Old and dated.Total waste of money

Like one reviewer has already pointed out, the bad reviews this place gets are not quite justified. I was very happy here - the room was spacious, clean and, yes, cozy; owners are friendly and check-in was painless; and the place is an easy short walk from town. Excellent value for the price you pay, and I can see no reason to actually not stay here.

Good location, expensive (but I guess still cheapest in Lorne). It looks gloomy to me, you would not like to stay another night, I did not like going upstairs for the room, ...but they provided us with bed, kitchen facilities, hot shower, so agree with another comment - If you need a bed and aren't to concerned about staying in a place that isn't modern
