San Remo Ballroom

A beautiful venue, super friendly staff, well organised and the food was fantastic! BUT…The acoustics in the place are horrible. For music, it’s fine but for speeches no one can hear a thing, so everyone starts talking and then it just goes south from there. You need 20 little speakers around the room for speeches then you can change to the big 6 for music. It shouldn’t be that hard, the technology has been around for decades. It’s a great way to ruin an event.

In my opinion this is one of Melbourne's best reception centres. The attention to detail especially the building, decor, table and furniture set-up is extraordinary. I go here almost every week to deliver and still it takes my breath away a little. The staff are very friendly and I can only recommend the San Remo for your next function.

Wow just wowww!!! Where can I start? From the friendly staff, to the beautiful chandelier, to the incredible food, our wedding day was nothing but perfect!!! Even the most fussy guests still complimented how amazing the food was. The ballroom is so beautiful and elegant and has such a massive wow factor upon entrance. My husband and I absolutely loved San Remo and only hope we get the chance to go back one day for someone's else's wedding so we can enjoy the venue again. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all your effort in the lead up and on the night, no guests left hungry.

Finally had the opportunity to visit the famous venue and it didn’t disappoint. The renovated place looked amazing, the service from the staff was great, the food delicious (and nice and warm evert time), the dinner service was on time and the team friendly. Had a great evening, thank you

The reception manager here is really helpful! She got our camera team up to date with the reception schedule and took good care of us.I also really love the interior here. So much space and really beautiful. Very easy to get great video footage and photos. Check out my phone photos for reference. The wedding video I shot is a lot better, but this is all I can share at the moment.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding at San Remo Ballroom. It was a magical evening and I cannot thank Jess, Cinzia, Vanessa & Laura for making our experience one to remember.The food was absolutely delicious and the room was lit up which our wedding guests were very complimentary about. I am happy to recommend San Remo Ballroom to any other couples looking to have their special day here :)

I don’t know where to begin!!!We had our wedding at San Remo this weekend. Now, I have not seen such impeccable service ever ! From the enquiry stage with the venue, to execution, the staff at San Remo ball room are just FABULOUS !The food was amazing, 239 people all agreed. I am so happy I chose this venue for my wedding. Well renovated great venue and friendly staff so far.

Recently extensively renovated and just reopened after the Covid shutdown.The previous tent like fabric ceiling is gone now revealing the original Adelphi Theatres high ceiling.The centre of the ballroom features a new, massive, stunning crystal chandelier replacing the earlier one. Many smaller crystal sconce lights add sparkle to the circular room.The foyer has had a large section of carpet removed revealing the original Adelphi Theatres original coloured Terrazzo floor, beautifully restored.Great historic venue with a parquetry dance floor and proper raised staging area big enough for a large band. Staff are fantastic and helpful, food is deliciousOnly hassle is parking, as it's a dense residential area. For most functions they have access across the road to the school's car park.
