We organised a private charter to take us to Birdsville from Quilpie for lunch (and return). Due to weather conditions our flight arrangements had to be changed. Alan MacDonald, our pilot, really worked hard to communicate possible alternatives and did everything he could to make our day trip happen. Not only was Alan our excellent pilot but he was also our very knowledgeable tour guide. We had a wonderful time learning about regional Queensland and downtown Birdsville.
