Picton Valley Motel

My wife and I stayed one night, great stay, very clean, great bed, nice setting with lovely gardens and outdoor sitting dining area. We will be back.

Lovely motel, really nice rooms, comfortable bed, nice furnishings, easy car park access.

Bad Customer ServiceWe spent all night attempting to get to the motel, but due to the unfolding flooding and emergency SES flood evacuation warning in the area, we were ultimately unable to make it. As we were out all evening attempting to get there (and weren't aware of the flood situation initially as we're not locals, and the motel didn't inform us when they called to confirm our arrival, and to notify us that they were shutting reception early due to said floods), we weren't able to notify them until 10 pm that night. When I contacted reception/ admin to request a refund (as it was an unforeseen event, and we did everything in our power to get there), the emails initially stated they can't give us a refund because we didn't give enough notice- so I called reception to try and explain. But instead of just saying that they don't offer reimbursement for cancellations under any circumstance (which wouldn't be ideal, but I would have completely understood, of course), the man stayed on the phone arguing with me for at least 10 minutes, blaming us for not giving enough notice etc. and bring quite rude, until I hung up. I can't tell you about the actual experience of the motel, but my experience with their admin was very unprofessional and upsetting.

Booked this after mistakenly booking Picton NZ!. Big rooms. Good heating. Great restaurant. Good local wine list .

Room was lovely and clean, bed comfy and staff were very friendly and helpful. We hadn’t booked into the restaurant but had no problems ordering a take away pizza to have in our room.Would happily stay there again. Thanks

Had booked into motel for 2nd week due to my spouses work here and checked in midday no problem1st week we dealt with the wifeRebooked for this week reception unattended man turned up was rude and not helpful told us had to come back at 2 pm.i asked him if we could leave our gear in roomTold me no had to check rooms and had other things he needed to doI asked if i could use bathroom even refused that even tho i am 74I have never found anyone so unaccomodating as this guyWe left never to returnSpoilt our dayWould not recommend this place

Good for family on budget. Antique style but renovated. It is a relaxing region. The main problem was to reach there at night by car. If you are coming from the opposite direction on Old Hume Hwy, you have to use the Governors Ln entrance, which leads you behind the motel. Then, you will need to carefully drive the wrong way on the shoulder of Old Hume Hwy for a few meters to the motel entrance

Great welcoming service and a really nice grounds to view and walk around .Also lovely and quiet motel.

Nice motel located just outside of town, 5 acres of garden to enjoy and relax
