Kando Martial Arts Highett

My three kids and I have been Kando Highett members for around four years. The Kando Highett leaders are incredibly open, supportive, professional, and genuinely caring. Their passion for martial arts and Kando is equalled by their passion for helping every single student learn, grow, and be the best they can be. The kids and I have loved learning a new discipline and becoming fitter and healthier in the process - at our own individual paces. You don't have to be fit, athletic, sporty, or even particularly coordinated to give this a go - challenge yourself, be inspired by the amazing Kando family, and have fun!

My son has been going to Kando for nearly 5 years and loves it! The instructors are wonderfully supportive of the kids and equip them not only with karate skills but valuable life skills as well. I highly recommend Kando!

Can’t recommend Kando Highett highly enough! We always felt like part of a family and Justin, Evandro and all the team members are amazing teachers! It’s not only a place where you can learn Martial Arts – it’s about life skills! For over 4 years coming to Kando Highett has been part of our weekly routine (until our daughter decided to try some other sports). Wishing you all the best, hope to come back to you one day!

Kando is a great place for kids to learn life skills and have fun with their mates. The staff are all welcoming and the make the families and kids feel at home.

Kando has been amazing for my daughter. We have started Kinda Ninka classes and she is absolutely loving it. The classes are fun and extremely age-appropriate, and focus on respect and discipline, and having fun whilst being active. Exactly what I want for my 3 year old.

Kando is the best! In younger years it was monumental in helping me build up my confidence and these days it’s great for my health both mentally and physically, there’s no place I’d rather spend my spare time at. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to have fun with awesome people!

My little one loves her karate classes at Kando Highest. Although it is a bit of a drive for us, it's worth that. Teachers are great. They are caring but the same time strict enough. The program is age appropriate (includes fun activities for kids, which they definitely enjoy). On special occasions (like birthday for example), we get hand written cards from Kando team, which is very nice touch.

Great atmosphere and spirit. Very professional instructors for all ages. Great for the whole family to get involved.Kando was my return to martial arts after many years and in my latter 50's a challenge but the camaraderie, quality of training and professionalism made it an easy transition and recaptured my great memories of martial arts.I started with my now 11 year old son and now the entire family do it and we all love it. During lockdown, it's been an important constant and focus.Recommended for anyone wanting fitness, challenge and a sense of achievement that our world rarely provides.

Highly recommend Kando in Highett for both young girls and boys. Our son participated here very happlily for several years until other sports took hold. The foundations built by the fantastic staff here help set him up as a more confident, healthy and displined individual.The owners are fantastic, the community highly inclusive and I would recommend parents at least giving their children a trial to see if they enjoy it. We did and are very glad that we did so.Highly recommended.
