The Montague Hotel
We were a party of four and booked a table for Friday night as it is a popular venue. The atmosphere was really good and cheerful. We had drinks at the bar while waiting for our table to be ready and then ordered two beef burgers, one parmi and a fish burger (unbattered as I wanted it). They brought a generous plate of mixed olives which we really enjoyed while we were waiting for our dishes. We were served in a timely manner short after and we all found our dishes really tasty and well presented. Recommend.

A great local pub and naturally very popular with the locals. Eat in the spacious public bar or in the dining room - the same menu is on offer. Great outdoor seating (out the front) which is popular in the warmer months. The service is friendly and casual and the menu has the usual pub fair with a kids menu.

The Montague Hotel
Really welcoming pub that captures all the natural night in the afternoon. Nice and lively atmosphere with patrons spilling into the outside tables, and a real locals vibe. A good variety on the menu but maybe slightly on the speedier side for what you get. I did enjoy my fish burger and Stacey enjoyed her beef burger, although might have both been better with chunky chips.

Ordered the Chicken Parma, Porterhouse steak, and the creme brulee. Overall really good pub food, very reasonably priced as well. It is higher priced but a bit nicer than just your average pub. Food was tasty, the creme brulee serving size is large but that's how we like it!!! Would go again!

The Montague Hotel
The Montague Hotel is a great local pub in the back streets of South Melbourne, a great position for a relaxed catch up with friends. Good seating options inside and tables outside too. The staff here are really friendly and helpful. Drinks list is very good and the food menu here is decent with good variety and quality. We shared a few dishes and none disappointed with good flavours, great serving sizes, fresh, hot and just very well done. Will definitely be back to enjoy this place

Good food, service was great and really quick. A little noisy if you are looking for somewhere quiet for a chat though but good atmosphere if you don't mind the noise.

Great local neighbourhood pub. The perfect place to sit outside and enjoy a drink in the crisp sunlight on a weekend afternoon...or inside by the fire for a bite to eat. Favourite local pub with friendly and professional staff

We were a family of 4 with teen kids and had lunch on a Sunday. The service was friendly and welcoming. The food was outstanding. My husband declared it was his new favourite place. We'll be back.

We are so lucky to have The Montague as our 'local'. A great spot for an informal meal if I have been working hard & don't feel like cooking. But also a terrific spot to meet friends & family for something more special. We went yesterday with my sister & brother-in-law & they also loved the experience & the food.
