This beach is so lovely, the sand is powder fine and makes squeaking noises under your feet. The water is nice and clear, there’s a lot of rock pools to explore and I have seen fairy penguins here. You can walk across to Diamond Island when the tide is low. When I was little I used to body board in the freezing water. I recommend to wear a thick wetsuit if you plan to take a dip.

This is my second time have been here. Very nice, amazing and peaceful beach with fire rocks (red rocks), where is located at southern spot of the beach. If you live nearby here, I recommend you come this beach to enjoy sunset moment, walking along the beach - I am sharing lots photos of sunset time. Also, highly recommend to see the sunrise coming out from the ocean - I also have some beautiful photos to share here. Very easy to park and stand on the fire rocks, this is a perfect spot to enjoy the beginning of the day, and say Halo to the sun!!!Just to let everyone know this is a hidden place to have a see penguins going home every evening...Please be quiet and be friendly.

A wonderful white sand beach to visit! The water is clear and the sand is powder fine. Walking distance to Diamond Island, which allow you to walk in between the sea. Very cool experience and would 100% go again

Such a stunning and quiet beach. Dogs are generally allowed but check the rules as they're prohibited at certain times. We didn't make the penguin viewing but probably amazing.

Awesome beach for adult surfing and kids playing at low tide. The see through water and rocks form a unique scene. Strongly recommended to local and international travelers

Stumbled upon this stretch of beach when we we're driving back to the main part of Bicheno. Great spot to take photos of the coastline. Soaked our feet in the water to feel how cold it was - it was freezing! Really nice place to relax and unwind!

Best beaches I have ever visited in my entire life, less crowded, good for kids to walk with the waves. Can walk to diamond island, please be careful about high tide when you are walking to diamond island. It
