Parker Hill Campground
Beautiful surrounds but if you go camping to get out of the city, don't go here. The campground is small, sites are close together and you're basically camping on top of each other - it's like being in the suburbs. The cramped conditions pretty much ruins your chances of enjoying nature while at camp. Too bad as it could be great if half the sites weren't occupied.

Pristine and peaceful campsite with beautiful surrounds and stunning walking tracks. I've been a few times now and haven't been disappointed. Rangers come and check on the site often and there are drop toilets and a sink for your toileting needs. Otherwise, it's just you and the serene nature :)

Lovely hidden campground in the middle of nature. There are non-flushable toilets , no shower, but there is a tank with non-drinkable water. It is usually quiet and peaceful, but busy during the Christmas and New Year's period. Take a good look at the campground map on the Victoria Parks website because most campsites are really close to each other and only a few have a car space. The closest beach is the Parker Inlet, a 10 minute walk down the hill along the Great Ocean Walk trail, it's quite steep on the way back but totally worth it!!What's good about this place is how secluded it is, very close to the Great Ocean Walk trail with some options to different walks and abilities and a stunning view, beach and river back to back.Campsite in photo is Number 1, it's big but it is right next to the toilets.

Parker Hill is the kind of place where you feel like the rest of the world is far away. The Campsite and estuary is absolutely lovely for an overnight/couple of days camping as well as day visit. The small, mostly quite & private camping ground (15 sites approx w toilet block, non-potable water for light washing) is nestled amongst the forest on top of the hill with nearby views overlooking the small estuary. There's a fairly steep but short walk down to the the beach (250m) which opens up onto a wide sandy, secluded beach with a small mineral-rich creek/river running out into the ocean. It's really very beautiful and peaceful little place.I've been visiting and camping here for nearly 20 years. It used to be free camping but more recently a fee now applies. It's can be booked out during peak seasons in summer but that's rare. Blanket Bay (very popular for camping), Crayfish Bay, the Otway Lighthouse and the Redwood forest are close-by, and it's a 25 minute drive back to Apollo bay.

Great Walks, beautiful views and secluded. Is accessible with a 2WD, ideally with a SUV, Jeep etc cause there high, as for hatchbacks, sedans you will hear it lightly scrape against the ground, however it is reasonably safe/accessible for the car. (Not ideal for cars that have been lowered- might struggle with the ground)Camp site no. 2 to 9 is all soil, can get quite dirty shoes during days of rain, however when its dry it's manageable. I would advise a mat as a floor only if your staying 3 or more nights.Site 10 - is really nice and has privacy away from other campers.Site 1 - too close to the toilet, ppl from site 11 to 20 will walk pass.Site 11-20 beautiful, grass area with shade and sun going through.Theres a steep 300 step walk to Park Inlet (beach - uncharted)The Map indicates waterfalls nearby, however you would need to paddle through the river to see the waterfall.Apollo Bay is 30mins drive ideal If you run out of food or want to swim/shower.

Honestly one of the best sites I have been to in a long time. Could be just the high of getting out after lockdown but objectively unbelievable site. The tracks are well maintained. Not wheelchair friendly down to the beach. Can hear the waves crashing on the cliffs from the campground making for a great night sleep.

Amazing location. The steep hike down and back up from Parker Hill campground to Parker Inlet is amazing. Totally worth it with amazing rock formations and overall history of the area.
