Very strange experience at Big W the other day. On exiting without making a purchase, I was told I must get my receipt scanned to exit - no receipt, can't exit. So every time I go in, I MUST make a purchase, even if the store is sold out on what I was looking for? Seriously???Couldn't be bothered wasting my time arguing with the guy refusing to let me exit the store (demanding to see my receipt, but I didn't buy anything, so what receipt? i was wearing board shorts & a t-shirt, only my wallet in my pocket, phone & car keys in my hand). Not carrying a bag of any sort...Ended up buying a cheap item I neither wanted nor needed just so I could get out. Very unreasonable, I will be going to either Target or Kmart in future !!!

Overall shop at Big W Mildura was okay. When checking out at 8:20pm on a Friday night, I went to the girl at the checkout register. As I was approaching her, a female colleague yelled out to me to come over to the self serve registrars. I stated I would like someone to serve me as I do not like to use the self serve and Rhiannon was very helpful in assisting me with scanning and bagging items.Rhiannon held herself in a strong manner and was polite.Although I am still lost to why I could not go through the registrar where the girl was doing her till as it was 8:20pm and the store closes at 9pm. Luckily, Rhiannon came to assist!Thank you!

As far as the store itself goes it’s just another Big W. It’s the staff that really bring the store down. You know those people that give you all the attitude in the world and then question you when you give the same back? It’s like they put them all in a room and gave them a job here. They lack training across what their store offers and they desperately need some customer service training. We have Kmart and Target and of course online shopping, so it’s not a big loss to not shop here anymore.

I am waiting for surgery on my leg, and can barely walk for 5 minutes at a time. Trying to manoeuvre my walking frame ( needed so I can sit when it gets to hard to stand ) and a trolley, and losing the battle. A young lass named Stephanie came to my rescue , pushed the trolley around to the merchandise I was searching for, sorted through to find the one I needed , made sure I was okay, then went back to her other duties. Stephanie, you made my day so much better. Many thanks. Definitely 5 stars !!

This is no different to any other Big W that you will find. Here you can purchase baby clothing and products, men and women clothing, toys, home appliances, pet food and products, snack foods, beauty products, books and dvds, electrical products, sporting equipment and party needs.Next to this is Mildura Centro shopping centre, Hungry Jacks, post office, Mocha Mecca and a Dan Murphy's.This is all located on Fifteenth Street which is one of the main highways through Mildura and on the opposite side of the highway is a Coles supermarket.
