Lovely nursery but the cafe staff need hospitality training. When I arrived there was one man ordering from the only staff member there, so I stood behind him to wait my turn. He walked away and I stood there patiently while she made his coffee, after a while she did acknowledged me to say she'd be with me shortly. I'm the only person standing there for well over 5 minutes, then about four groups of people arrive to look at the food on the other side of the counter to where I was standing. Eventually a second staff member appears and goes directly to serve the other groups. I stood forward to politely indicate I was next. The first staff member looks up at me and rudely says You have to line up over there

Very grateful to Michelle and team at Birchgrove Nursery. Michelle took the time to look for a particular rose for me (which I could not get anywhere else in Queensland), worked out shipping costs and packaged the rose bush up very securely. It has arrived safely today and saved the day! This was a time intensive sale, but Michelle was very gracious and helpful. She went above and beyond, sending photos and helping figure out the best postage option, and giving much needed care tips. Thank you, Michelle and team.

Would come here again for the nursey, but not food or coffee. Food was bland , coffee burnt. Parking a nightmare and dangerous, I had to reverse back onto the busy main road so a car could come down driveway.

We discovered this Rose Garden cafe as we were travelling in the Tamborine Mountains. We ordered hot drinks asking for extra hot" - and they came as good as expected. We were very pleased to enjoy our morning tea and then stroll amongst the gorgeous roses and potted trees. What a delightful place :)"

This place is much more than a plant nursery. There is a great range of plants, shrubs, roses, and trees, including fruit trees, plus a very good cafe serving Black Star coffee roasted in West End in Brisbane. You can sit inside, or outside in the sunshine and greenery and listen to the quiet and a few birds chirping. It's a relaxing sanctuary for a visit whether you are looking for plants or for a lovely little escape from the busier cafes.

This is our go-to nursery on Tamborine Mountain. The owners are lovely people with a very helpful staff. Phenomenal selection of plants. We have purchased plum, cherry, pomegranate, almond and peach trees from here. Highly recommend visiting the cafe as well.

My wife and I stumbled onto Birchgrove Nursery during a day trip from the Moreton Bay area. Just driving around to see what Tambourine Mountain had to offer we did a U-turn right in front of one of their signs, which mentioned some hard to find plants we had been trying to obtain for about the last 2 years. We ended up taking about 7 plants home that day and Nick, I believe, also ordered in several other varieties I had been after and we went back a couple of weeks later to pick them up. Nick was friendly and helpful and a pleasure to deal with and we now have a beautiful selection of Proteas, Luecadendrons, a couple of Lipstick Maples and a couple of rose bushes. We also took the time to have lunch in the nursery cafe Cafe On Alpine" which had great food at a reasonable price in a beautiful setting.Wondering the nursery and then enjoying the cafe made for a nice relaxing stop and we found a lot of interesting plant varieties."

The whole establishment is beautiful, food magnificent and reasonable priced. They do charge a surcharge for public holidays that everyone should appreciate due to added costs associated with staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Never been here before but will definitely come back again.

Something needs to be done about the manager or owner (not sure which she was). Witnessing her yelling at Nick over the phone when he was attempting to run the place without any internet rendering the eftpos and tills useless was absolutely disgusting. I specifically drive up the mountain from the Gold Coast because Nick has been incredibly helpful and knowledge. The owner hasn’t been particularly friendly when I’ve been so often means it’s a wasted trip as I buy nothing. At this stage I'm not sure I will be returning but if I do, will probably be calling to see if Nick is there and the manager or owner is not.
