My friend and I dined at this place for dinner. We ordered the Banquet Set Number 2, with Satay Chicken, Oyster Sauce Stir Fry of Vege and Beef, Red Chicken Curry and Beef Fried Rice. In general, the taste was all right. But the beef in both dishes tasted really really dry and hard to chew. Mushrooms in the Oyster Sauce Stir Fry were undercooked and a bit of raw, same issue for broccoli. The price however, was not very cheap, $51 for the set. Considering the location of this restaurant which is in a much less prime suburb, we reckon this price was actually a little bit high. Menu was also a downsider as it's purely word based without any pictures of the dishes. That's also why we eventually decided to have the banquet set as a simple ordering solution. Nevertheless, the staff there were friendly and approachable. Hence, 3.5 star for the food, 3 star for the price, 2 star for the deco, 3 star for the service, overall 3 star rating for Rainbow Thai. By the way, this restaurant supports Amex.

The lunch specials that they do here are pretty good. It’s not awesome and it’s kind of the dumbed down Thai for westerners but for $10 it is certainly good value. The place is nice and clean and the staff are friendly and efficient. Would go back again.

The taste of Thai is too heavy, and the salt seems to be too much, but the satay chicken and grilled shrimp are so delicious, there is no regret that they sell Thai milk tea.

Excellent Thai restaurant. Always delicious food at affordable prices and fast service. Winner!May 2022 update:New owners removed Banquet option from the menu. Very disappointing. Also food is generally very salty now.Removed 1 star

I ordered Thai spicy rice, and massamam curry beef. Both tasted great and were enjoyable. They used proper ingredients, including real herbs/spices, and the dish felt fairly authentic in flavour. I will definitely go back.

I invited friends and family with varying taste pallets and dietary restrictions to join me for dinner here. Many of us have been to Thailand multiple times and all of us agreed that this place was the best Thai food we have ever had. The flavours are bold and the proteins are cooked to a perfect temperature with good skill. The staff were so helpful and friendly. I am definately coming back and I live overseas!
