Don’t stop here unless you’re desperate to pull off the highway and get out of the car briefly. It’s literally right next to the highway, has an ugly crash barrier between you and the river, no lookout point, and lots of rubbish strewn around. The river itself is pretty, but worth driving the extra distance to Hopkins Falls to see it properly.

If you happen to be driving past, it's worth a quick stop. We could see a platypus and a turtle swimming in the river.The area behind the crash barrier is full of rubbish which needs to be cleaned up, but otherwise its a good place for a quick stop to stretch your legs.
