Phillip Island Winery

This is a nice winery on Phillip Island. The signposting was good although the signposting stops when you get to the driveway to the winery.FYI there are 4 sections to this winery. The cellar door, the restaurant and the indoor casual area in a large enclosed tent and the outdoor lawn area.I tried a chardy for the first time in ages and it was a winner, full of fruit, not too sweet with some oak, but not overpowering. My partner had a Pinot Noir which was ok but it lacked depth.Buying a take away at the cellar door was challenging. The man who served me told me that the bottle I had from the fridge was for drinking on site, and promptly told me that the take away wine was on the shelf behind me. Which he pointed out to me.The he turned to another customer to serve them without asking me if I wanted to buy a take away wine from the shelf. What??I barely had time to answer, but I did stop him as he served the woman beside me and say ok, then give me a bottle from the shelf behind you. I should have walked away.This man was so unnecessarily dismissive and rude.The fridge did not have any signage and given that I asked to buy my bottle as a take away, not to drink it there, I don't understand why he was so rude.And why he would serve someone else in front of me and just ignore me. 28/4/22I've put the date so the owners know who was working that afternoon in the cellar door section.That experience tainted an otherwise nice experience.

Amazing staff and food was nice (although slightly cold, but we were visiting on a busy long weekend). Only issue was the noise - loud band and a packed restaurant, even in the outdoor space made it very hard to hear conversation at table.

Took a day trip to Phillip Island yesterday with the family, and booked lunch at Phillip Island Winery. The absolute highlight of our day! Deb took our booking and promised us a lovely table - true to her word, it was perfect for us. The food and wine were absolutely delicious - we had Grazing Board, Barramundi (melted in your mouth), Braised Beef Ribs (so tasty)....Pizzas. Yum. Every single waitress we came across was so friendly, attentive and we were made to feel welcome and at home. Such a credit to everyone there. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience. We can't wait to come back!

We were here during the summer of 2023, after reading some positive reviews of this winery on Phillip Island, decided to give it a try. It wasn't too crowded during lunch time. The food and wine was a tad underwhelming. Had the gnocchi and salad, food was average, wine was normal. Pricey too, $90 for our meal with 2 mains and just a glass of red. Slightly disappointed, expected better. Great views around the vineyard though.

Great service, amazing food and the perfect wine pairing. Really enjoyed this place with the new decor. Hadn't been for a while and I'm very impressed. Will be back asap. We had beef ribs, gnocchi, lamb meatballs, prawn chilli pizza and chips (desert lemon tart) Enough food for 4 of us.

We had a fabulous lunch with a group of ten. Staff were fantastic and the service was very good considering how busy they were.The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The wines we ordered complemented the food.Had a great chat with the owners mum at the end, who was more than happy to talk about the vineyard etc.We had some extra time to try the wine tasting. On entering the bar area, there are lovely homewares for purchase. HOWEVER do not presume everything is for sale. I picked up a large wooden bowl with a sticker on only to have this snatched out of my hand and was spoken to rather rudely by the man doing the wine tasting. Apparently, this was for display purposes only, and the sticker attached had fallen off something else???. I was quite embarrassed, apologised, and walked out. Only to realise all my party had joined me for the same reason and could not believe his rudeness.Overall, a lovely afternoon in the sun with great friends and food.

We had a bizarre experience on Sunday (19/2/23). My partner ordered a pineapple IPA; when his beer arrived he tasted it and said to the waitress is this the pineapple IPA?"

WOW! What a wedding venue. We recommend this one to all our photography & videography clients looking to get married in Phillip Island. The reception area is fantastic for sit down or cocktail style weddings. The team is amazing!First looks at Berry's beach just down the road! Incredible!!Cannot recommend this venue enough!
