Estate Tuscany

My partner booked Estate Tuscany for our anniversary getaway recently, and it was a nice all round stay.Outstanding: The location and breakfast (included as part of our package) located next door at The Mill restaurant. It was a lovely, fresh and very generous buffet breakfast. They DO provide percolated coffee (I noticed some reviews complaining about the coffee) but we were happy to pay a bit extra for barista coffee, no drama at all. ALSO, this hotel is located right next door to Thomas wines - an absolute must for the discerning collector and lover of wines!Good: the room was clean (though a little tired, however, there is an indication that renovations are imminent); the view was lovely (we had an 'olive grove' room) and attentive reception staff and house keeping. Reception helped to quickly resolve an issue we had in the room and house keeping came by each day to see if we wanted our towels replaced.Needs addressing: while we understand that the location uses septic tanks, there was a decided smell in our room which was unpleasant and could not be aired out; the water pressure and temperature regulation needs to be fixed as all through showering the water would go from freezing to volcanic and back again consistently; the fact there was an adjoining door from our room into the next room was really disconcerting as there was no guarantee, other than verbal assurances from reception, that the door was locked and no one would come through; no spare power points to plug chargers into (without disconnecting something else); prices for the mini bar (it was not stated anywhere in writing that the mini bar contents were not complimentary. While common sense dictates this is the case with items like wine, a list of prices for other contents like canned soft drinks, bottle water, etc would remove confusion. In all other hotels we have stayed at, bottled water was always complimentary as was milk for coffee, however, here the UHT pots of milk were free for the tea/coffee facilities, BUT the water apparently was not); a form of security screen door for the balcony entrance as the glass door could be easily forced open; some sort of curtain screening on the balcony door - there is only 2 options, full blockout curtains or nothing; some form of locks on the bathroom windows - even though they are not large enough for an adult to fit through, a child-young teen certainly could.Would love to stay here again, but will wait for some indication that the renovations have finished. Not sure of the 'Vineyard View' rooms, maybe they are more refined.

We held our Mum’s surprise birthday lunch at The Mill restaurant at Tuscany estate and it was brilliant!Jess the events organiser was supremely helpful and a fantastic communicator during the preparations and organising and the staff at the function were so professional, friendly and welcoming. The venue was beautiful and picturesque and the food was delicious and beautifully presented by the chefs. I would highly recommend The Mill and look forward to going back there again and again! Thank you Jess and everyone involved to make it a wonderful day and memorable experience!!

The place is the most run down hotel we have ever stayed at, its in DIRE NEED of a Full renovation. The owners must know, it needs new bathrooms, paint, floor covering, the front and back doors all jammed up and NOT SECURE. Choose your accommodation wisely

We had a lovely five night holiday at Estate Tuscany. The views were fantastic. It's in a great location close to a lot of tourist attractions.The room was very clean and spacious. Could have done with more hanging space. Had a table and chairs outside to look at the Kangaroos and scenery. The breakfast was delicious. The Mill restaurant and the Brokenback bar meals were very nice and tasty. Pizzas were fantastic. The staff were very helpful and friendly. If there was a problem it was sorted immediately with a smile. Would definitely recommend The Estate Tuscany.

We had our first stay last week, and it won't be our last. We were in an Olive Grove room. It was spacious, and newly renovated. The bed was comfortable and a decent sized sofa for relaxing. The bathroom was roomy with plenty of space to put toiletries bag, and a bench seat for clothing so they wouldn't get wet whilst showering, although the taps could do with replacing. The staff were extremely helpful. A peaceful nights sleep.We had dinner in the Brokenback Bar as the restaurant was having a night off. The food was superb and the Manager Krish was friendly and helpful. Looking forward to having the lamb shoulder again next visit. The breakfast in the Mill Restaurant was one of the better Full Continental Breakfasts I have had. The Bircher Muesli was tasty with added apple, the Danish pastries were fresh and not too large so you could treat yourself to a couple of varieties and the cooked breakfast was tasty and plentiful, there were plenty of mushrooms....yum. Candy was friendly and helpful once you took the effort to engage with her she really blossomed.

All staff very helpful. Excellent location. Superb breakfasts! Had two children with us for 5 days who were well entertained with the local farm and surroundings.

My husband and I just recently celebrated our Anniversary in the Hunter Valley and stayed at Estate Tuscany. The staff were so helpful and accommodating, we felt very well looked after during our time there. The Mill Restaurant was absolutely scrumptious, I have literally dreamt of those scallops since having them!! Hands down a really beautiful dining experience and the Chef even wrote us a little Anniversary note with our dessert! The service was outstanding, Krish was so on point, he didn't miss a beat!The friendly reservations team were very informative and lent a helping hand at any time necessary.The room was quite spacious, very comfy bed and had a beautiful outlook over the Olive Grove trees and surrounding bushland it was very tranquil and relaxing.We had a wonderful time, thank you so much to everyone at Estate Tuscany for making our stay so enjoyable, we look forward to coming back again soon!!

Excellent value for money! Jane and the other staff were amazing. Location is only a short drive to the major wineries. Some great food available onsite. Would highly recommend. Some of spaces could do with a bit of work but you cannot beat the value or lovely setting. Will be back!

Yes. We were worried about feeling unwelcome having a dog with us but she was well behaved and made lots of friends. The staff were all nice and the restaurant was lovely also the breakfast was amazing.The room was amazing very spacious the main bed was very comfortable. Room service staff are friendly.

I have photographed weddings at Estate Tuscany a number of times over the years and it is a beautiful wedding venue.It is located on one of the most beautiful locations in the Hunter Valley. And for weddings, it has some of the best views out over the vines and mountains anywhere in the region.There is accommodation available onsite for couples, so all you need to do is walk to the ceremony. Wedding ceremonies take place in the grass courtyard area just next to the restaurant. And wedding receptions take place in the Mill restaurant.Lovely place with amazing views!
