Early Settler Rutherford

My wife recently brought a large mirror (2m x1.1m) from the Rutherford store. We went to collect it a few days after purchase to find it still on display. We were told by staff no packaging, not even cardboard was available to assist us in transporting. No staff offered to assist. After returning with our own packaging materials, we proceeded to have to move the stores other display items out of the way to retrieve the mirror. We walked past 3 staff members and zero offered assistance. The best we got was one staff member opened the door. This was some of the worst customer service I have experienced. I could have brought a similar product online and had it delivered to my door for the same money, but I decided to support local business. I won't be shopping at Early Settler again.

Excellent service! Deb was really great in organising our table and benches! Outstanding communication and kid friendly team! Very helpful in packing our furniture! We would definitely be looking here again in future!

Have nice furniture and ornaments, bathroom and kitchen accessories also, lovely place to shop.We used to go there weekly a couple of years ago when we did our weekly grocery shop, until the male sales assistant made a comment: Your house must look just like their shop!"

Purchased a lounge and coffee table from the very helpful and attentive team at Early Settler Rutherford. The displays and visual merchandising were head and shoulders above the competition in the center.

Thank God for your good staff at Newcastle who were able to assist me immediately in regards to my print that I had already put a deposit on 4 weeks ago. Your Rutherford store is absolutely useless in relation to Customer Service, or lack of. Do not return phone calls, messages or even emails from their head office asking them to get in contact with me asap. Definitely don't bother with Rutherford, go to Newcastle.

The ladies are so helpful and sorted out our damaged table with no issues. Will definitely shop here in the future

The staff need a refresher on customer service training. Firstly, they ignore you despite you standing at the counter and staff continue to chit chat amongst them selves. I requested a product and asked if it was available in any other near by store and the lady said its available in Cairns.I called the Kotara store and they were much more helpful. Don't bother going here. Go to Kotara instead.

Susie was amazing to deal with! Not only a beautiful soul but also so eager to help. She took the time to answer all my questions, she had a great knowledge of the items in store and was super patient despite me changing my mind multiple times. Will definitely be back in future!
