Knox Gymnastics Centre

My daughter and me was badly treated at this gymnastic centre, I had called this gymnastic centre in April 2015, they informed me that there was no vacancy at my daughters level, I told them if my daughter could have an assessment at that time and they told me that this would not be necessary at that time, my daughter was then put on a waiting list for her level. In June when the 2nd term ended I called again they told me they will need to wait till the school holidays to know if there would be a place for her. I called every other day, still nothing, when term 3 started I called again and was told there was no place for her, so I asked if she could be put at one level higher, they then told me to come in for an assessment and so we did, she as assessed at level x by the head coach which was the level she currently was at and which was the level where the was no vacancy as earlier alleged. I found out on the day of assessment that it was not that there was no vacancy, there was a vacancy but the staff had not called the parent to check if the child was returning on the pretext that they were busy and that there is only one person handling all the admin work. I was shouted at by the staff as well as treated terribly by them whenever I went there to check or called. The staff was rude and I felt they treated me very disrespectfully. There were times they promise to call back but did not. Finally after the first week of term 3 I received a call to state that my daughter had got into level x competition gymnastics and so she started her training here. After two training sessions I was called up by the admin staff and was told that my daughter does not have the skill at level x (mind you she was assessed by this gymnastic centre just a week ago stating that she was at this level) and that she needs to go down one level where there is no competitive gymnastics. This was the assessment of her 19 year old gymnastic coach (mind you the head coach at that gymnastic centre had assessed her as being up to this level just a week ago). This is absurd as I had pulled her out of her previous centre which I had put her in while waiting for her to get in here as her elder sister is already in this centre in reliance to the fact that I was told that she had got in here. Then I was put to the director on the line, whilst trying to voice out my frustrations could not assist me in any manner but instead made things worst by telling me that me pulling my daughter out of the previous gymnastic centre was my own decision and could not be based on my reliance that she had got into this gymnastic centre . I have had a frustrating experience here.

Knox Gymnastics have given my girls great confidence in trying new things, balance and co-ordination skills and have made some great friendships.

I am a gymnast at Knox Gymnastics, it is the best club ever the coaches are fantastic and have trained a lot of athletes up to State and National levels. I would recommend anyone wanting to do gymnastics to call Knox Gymnastics to have a go.

I am a current gymnast at Knox and words couldn't describe how much I love the place! All of the staff are extremely supportive and strive to ensure that everyone is achieving their best and having fun whilst doing so. My coach and team are some of the loveliest people I have met. The facilities are fantastic, with fundraiser money going towards constantly upgrading the equipment to ensure that gymnasts have the best chance at improving and succeeding. I couldn't imagine training anywhere else.

Excellent Club. Extremely well run and has fantastic, highly qualified coaches. It offers recreational & competitive gymnastic streams and provides a fun and supportive environment. It's a very friendly club and my daughter loves it there. Parents can stay to watch their children train which is not allowed at many clubs and there are additional fun activities such as disco nights etc.Some gymnasts were able to experience a training trip to China and an AIS camp this year. It's a forward moving, proactive club with something for everyone.

Great club for adults who want to have fun, improve flexibility, strength and skills or to compete. Friendly coaches - all levels catered for. Plenty of parking. Good facilities.

Great venue and facilities but many of the staff look bored and lack lustre and as though they would rather be somewhere else. there is not enough hands on involvement at the earlier levels although this gets better if you stick it out for a few years. Poor communication between the instructors and the parents. Overall this place could be top notch if the instructors picked up their game, started to enjoy teaching and got more involved and hands on in what they are doing. I would go somewhere else if there were more options and perhaps that is part of the problem - complacency.

Kids didn't last long here because of boredom.From there mouths. It's the same thing week in, week out. I get that's it building up strengths, but there is more fun ways to do it.Groups are also to large so they spend loads of time waiting for their go.

They do a fantastic job with the kids. Always so kind and professional with parents as well. Highly recommend.

Have been a member for 15 years. Love this place! All three of my children have gone here and I am the clubs oldest competing gymnast.Still training here 2 nights a week in the adult class
