As a university student, it is always a very important time of the year to get as much of my tax back as possible.Money is precious as well as time when exams, work and all other things become piled up.H&R Tax Accountants have been able to help me for the past two years with my tax, making it a breeze to be able to see some more money in the bank.Without hassle or wait, I was able to book in an appointment straight away, (depending of course on what time of year you are wanting to go in) and assist me to exactly what it was I wanted.An easy tax return without me having to go through the paperwork myself.Sitting in the tax office it was a quick and easy process, and only cost me $70 to get my tax back.$70 student tax back fee was brilliant compared to other tax places I had visited and I have never been so happy and stress free when it comes to placing my money in the hands of others.Definitely will be returning again this year!Thanks H&R

A tale of two halves.The financial year before last, one of the tax accountants from this branch helped me sort & file my tax returns with ease. I gave a five star rating then.Fast forward to the last financial year. Because they were good to me before, I decided to use their services once again even though my income tax return wasn’t complicated and I could have done it easily. This time, it took me about 4 follow up phone calls and 1 email to get my refund which took over 5 weeks. So I have amended my rating to three stars.Will I use their services again? I really don’t know!

Tax return advertised as $99 on website. I went into the Manly branch & saw Scott. He said $99 was for a basic return. I had just started a new job, I had 2 x PAYG summaries and a new car which had to be taken into consideration. The account fees jumped to $228 if I paid by card & $258 if they took the fee out of my return. I opted for the card payment but was charged from my return.I couldn't claim uniform without branding or my orthopaedic shoes. I couldn't claim taxi /Uber which were my only means of transport during Covid lockdown when my buses schedule was canned for a fortnight.The cherry-on-top, 2 MONTHS LATER, HR block sends me an email requesting I pay $258 because the ATO didn't pay them. I called the manager, who apologised on behalf of the branch, and paid $228 because it came off my card in the end.I felt like such a number. I wouldn't go back or recommend them.
