Mount Henry Tavern
The retired staff of Curtin University Library meet here for lunch every 6 months. At the moment there are 20 of us and growing. Never had any complaints. The staff are lovely and the food is delicious. We will continue coming. Next meet in December.

After having discovered Mt Henry Tavern abou 6 months ago and have been at least 8 times and loved ALL our meals except for one person who I think is in charge of the food area.She is very rude and obnoxious with it seems every one she seems to deal with. We persevered because the food,was normally so great but today all our meals were disgusting! The roast was cold and the meat was so tough I couldn’t eat it and we were all the same.I ordered dessert because I was still hungry and paid $10 for what was the smallest piece of cake possible!The other staff were extremely lovely and helpful but that didn’t make up for everything else!

We enjoyed a friendship group get-together here, and always like the vibe as well as the friendly staff. My meal was great ( Thai beef salad) but some found their meals left something to be desired - steak too tough, pork belly not crispy.When a complaint was made about the tough steak, there was no offer of returning the money, just an offer of free desserts. I thought this was not good enough as the steak was $36 and inedible.

Went here for the promotional night food, and was a little confused since one of the meals is the same as another night, and I was given blunt rude remarks about not ordering correctly from the menu, seemed to be the lady running the kitchen in a black uniform on a Thursday.Really no excuse for that kind of service and other staff were friendly. But really ruined my dinner. And the parmi was average at best.

Typical pub grub. Being oldies we had a Senior's meal, Chicken Parmi with chips and salad, very nice. Staff was friendly and didn't kick us out, we had met up with friends and had a lot of catching up to do! Lovely lunch, would definitely go again.

Had a great meal here yesterday for lunch with some of my work crew. Thai Beef Salad was exceptional. The charred marinated beef was tasty and the salad was fresh and abundant. Other meals all looked as good including the huge steak sandwiches, lunch special steak & chips (although mushroom sauce only contained 1 slice of mushroom), fish and chips, seafood salad and garlic prawns. Will definitely return on our next work break.

Second time I have been here. The staff are friendly, polite and serve you well. The meal I ordered, well...I ordered the turf n surf rump steak. Good size serving. My order was for a medium rare steak with garlic sauce, chips and salad. The steak came out rare and contained quite a lot of gristle. Usually the sauce is lightly dribbled over the protein (or on the side) but the meal was swimming in the sauce overpowering the steak and chips.Would go back and hopefully this is just a one off experience.

Have had a weekday lunch there twice in the past month. The lunch specials are outstanding value for the serve that you receive. Lovely staff and good pub food.

We ate there Wednesday night for a Birthday and again Friday for lunch. The meals are always good and the service very quick. We were able to bring our own Birthday cake and they supplied plates, napkins etc. We go here often and recommend you do too.

So LOVED the meal here( hats off to the Chef!!! We ordered various plates to share:Beef Cigars, Slider Combo, Trio of dips, Prawns and Watermelon Salad, Plain Garlic Bread and Cheesy Garlic Bread. If I were to come again I would order everything again and get extra Watermelon Salad, exchange the Beef Cigar for Tempura Prawn and exchange the plain Garlic for Cheesy Garlic.Our best choice was the Prawn and Watermelon Salad. We all had never had never tasted this before...it was so delicious. The food was excellent for our budget. It probably could've fed 5 people. The cost came to $98.30 and we couldn't eat the rest of our food but were able to take it home. We paid to see the band, and they were Primo too. What I didn't like: it was too small a venue and was mainly standing only(no room to put our wine bottles or glasses on) We stayed all night by bar. Later on the Restaurant was opened for event BUT only a handful of people sat in there. Perhaps there could be a screen to watch the band could be an idea? The bar staff were very friendly, patient and courteous to all their patrons. I noticed there was a person in a wheelchair and throughout the night he could only hear the band. My advice next time if you are going to watch any band here, is be one of the first to arrive to get a good position.
