We were just passing through and being a train lover wanted to visit it anyway. Was disappointed that they were not open after checking their ride days but instead got more than what I bargained for. Met a gentleman named David near their office who offered to show me around their workshop and gave me detailed information about each and every piece of engines and carriages they have. He is so knowledgeable and kind. I would also like to thank each and everyone who works here dedicating their time to a beautiful cause like this. Make sure you do visit as it is a beautiful place with rich history of railroading. Thank you again DAVID. will definitely visit on the operational days to enjoy the train rides.

What a surprise, great place to visit. Train rides are great and plenty of room for a picnic. Kids absolutely will love this place.

It's fun, prices to get in are worth it. You can take in an Esky, barbecue your own stuff, and you aren't paying for firewood and rides and facilities are free, so paying a little bit more for the ice creams etc isn't that big a deal, and it helps keep the facilities upkeep. I think everyone here is a volunteer, and they do a great job. Went here during school holidays, shady picnic tables, lots to see, and listening to the engines etc is great for kids and adults.

This place takes me back in time, recommended for all ages, run by volunteers who are dedicated and value history. Myself and my husband are very grateful to Brad for giving us a private tour where and how the trains origin, How much time it takes to restore and time and effort of all volunteers involved.Thank you for all your work and what a fantastic experience it was.

Unique experience for kids. Lovely and caring staff too. There were two trains on the day: a small one on which you sit with legs on both sides and the bigger one with three boggies.

It’s difficult to be too harsh about this place as it is ran by volunteers. I would say there’s a lot of potential to make this attraction bigger and better. More trains, smarter line setup so the ride on train can do an actual loop to reduce changeover times etc. It just needs more to do. All that good gardening work they did in the parking lot would be better served along the actual rail line (that seems like a bizarre decision). As much as I love the Aussie bush it gets a bit repetitive after a while. Also the parking is a bit disorganised as people park each other in and parking in and around trees, not brilliant. But look all around it’s good and I appreciate the hard work of the volunteers. Maybe they can get a grant to get things chugging along.

Great day out with the family, short drive from Sydney. The volunteers running this heritage rail museum are really passionate about their work, and you can tell they really love the history and preservation. All the people we met were a wealth of knowledge and spent time to answer our questions...really a great day out.
