Alfred Deakin High School

All of the classrooms were in poor condition when I went there and after being severely bullied was told “but that person wouldn’t do that” and I was expected to accept that without anything further being done.

Tbh it’s not the best schoolIn my own personal experience, the teachers are nice but there’s a bit of bullying going on and nothing gets done about it, my friend even committed suicide because of it

Nice clean environment

place is a dump. most of the students are entitled and self righteous to the point of insanity. so much bullying and absolutely nothing is done about it by the teachers. even when you get parents involved nothing is done. sending your children here will either make them selfish and mean or depressed. seriously don’t.

My son found himself in it, the teachers respect the parents and I noticed that they just focus on the positive sides in the students's personalities to encourage them. It is an organized school as well.

Incredible teachers who really know what they are talking about.Students create a remarkable community where they all look out for each other and help one another to succeed.School prioritises the student's mental health, safety and education.

Alfred Deakin High School is a government secondary school in Deakin, Australian Capital Territory, covering years 7 to 10 in the Territory's education system. It is named after the second Australian Prime Minister, Alfred Deakin.Two separate schools in the area, Deakin High School in Deakin and Woden Valley High School in Mawson, commenced in 1966 and 1968 respectively. In 1989, the two were amalgamated on the Deakin site and the name Alfred Deakin High School chosen.Since 1989 the school building has undergone considerable refurbishment, including the acquisition of modern kitchens and technology, including information technology and photography areas. During 1991 the school gymnasium was completed and officially opened. In more recent times special purpose rooms for dance and drama, computing, multi-media and problem solving in mathematics have been added. In early 1999 major refurbishments were completed in the science area and similar improvements to teaching spaces in Technology were completed in 2000. During 2009 the school under took refurbishment which included new toilets, new carpeting and an update to the gym. The upgrades were part of the Rudd government's Education revolution. The school is a bring your own device" school and was one of the public schools in the ACT to embrace Google Apps for Education.The Canberra Japanese Supplementary School Inc.

An amazing school, I especially like the scented candles in the school bathrooms. The fruit smells really increase the bathroom experience
