Was recommend by local caravan park as ideal place to stay. We got second last room. Good size clean and with awesome meals at local motel facilities . Off street parking in frint of room for us ideal before our trip to Maria Island. Local meals on parr if not better than some of Hobart Hotels Motels. Thank uor would definately stay again but longer as staff and fellow guests very friendly.

We stayed overnight in our caravan in the huge grassed area beside the hotel, plenty of room and nice and quiet.A nice atmosphere at the hotel for dinner which was delicious and reasonably priced, cold beer and friendly staff.

OK I'm fairly easy to get along with & am the first to post stuff about great dining places.However, I booked for 10 people for 6pm all of us out of towners. 2 of our diners ordered entrees, so I'd expect maybe a15 minute delay on mains once they'd finished. So now we're at 6.30pm, had one drink each for the table, no sign of bar staff to ask if we would like more drinks. Locals, about 4 tables, came & were served pretty much immediately, including entrees.We tried to order drinks from bar, however, we were told that because we were dining we had to be served at the table by staff.Mains arrived at around 7.20pm. Veggies obviously came from the bane maree & were disgusting!! I personally ordered a MAIN seafood chowder, my mates had an entree size, mine had same amount of seafood but with more sauce, cost an extra &12.Rant almost over.Restaurant totally understaffed, both food & drinks wise. Staff were embarrassed, & did their best, this not aimed at them.My wife, not me as I was so angry, approached the manager & was totally treated with disrespect!! Other members of our group also complained & were basically dismissed without so much as an apology or any understanding.The Manager" was seen throughout the time we were there leaning on the bar doing nothing to assist staff in any way!!Although this is a lengthy post I was totally disgusted with our treatment by management & lack of respect. Lastly

Fantastic room, very spacious, spotless, great staff. There was even cereal in the room for breakfast. All for a great price. Had a yummy dinner in the hotel which was very reasonably priced. Also got a great bottle of Tassie bubbles from the attached bottle shop. Would definitely recommend and stay again

Last minute accomodation & we were very impressed. Place is a little old but spotlessly clean & very big. Meals were great & service was very good.

Stayed at the free caravan sites at the back of the oub, top place and the food at the pub was fantastic aswell as the publican is a bloody card top man. I would highly recommend staying here bloody great.

Food was nice when we got it but waited a bit over an hour for it
