After moving into a new place and not having a pool to maintain earlier, Hamish provided the support and advice I needed to be confident maintaining my pool in the future. He spent his time to ensure I understood and no question was too silly.I had a few things that didn't seem to be working correctly and Hamish sorted them out while I was there. Highly recommended.

Hamish Cullwick from Poolwerx installed a salt water chlorinator. The filtration system worked intermittently and stopped working within two weeks' of installation. Hamish engaged a pool leak detector to test for leaks and advised me that a faulty valve had been replaced to address the lack of water flow in the system. Following this, I paid the Poolwerx invoice.The problem returned within a week and the system has not worked consistently since installation. When I tried to contact Hamish, he did not return my messages or emails. I have since approached Poolwerx head office and Fair Trading which is considering this matter. Turns out Hamish had misrepresented the facts. One part of the system had apparently been tested and a valve had been replaced. However, the entire system had not been tested for air leaks at any point. There is no report from the pool leak detector to indicate the ongoing source of the leak.Poolwerx has put the onus back on me, the customer, to engage a pool leak detector to identify the source of the leak. I cannot understand this approach - Poolwerx should take responsibility for investigating the leak to make sure it is not the installation that is causing the issue. I am very disappointed with the after-sales service.

As a new pool owner I was entirely unsure about how my pool worked, the chemicals I should be using - basically everything. Having no prior knowledge of maintaining a pool, it was such a relief to have Hamish walk me through our new pool. He explained in simple terms what was needed to keep the filters in good condition and the water both hygiene but sparkling clean. He also adjusted the timing system to ensure it was as cost effective as possible. It was also great to know we could use him on a monthly basis without breaking the bank. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone that needs to be assured their pool is in good hands.
