With three friends I joined Adam for a week at Karajini in August 2020, and would highly recommend his professionalism and thorough organisational skills -- as well as practical advice on all aspects of the trip from clambering down gorges, to camera settings and then post-processing the results during the heat of the day when the light for photography was too intense.Adam had arrived several days ahead of us and checked out each likely location to refresh his knowledge of the best angles and times, blocked roads and other details. His full attention was on the clients, and he only took iPhone photos of the sites to help give us ideas -- unlike some who use such opportunities for their own catalogues.Would be very happy to travel with him again!

What a fabulous 11 day photographic tour exploring Northwest Tasmania with Adam, Paul and 4 other keen photographers! Everything from the schedule to the accommodation and the locations we photographed was perfect. Adam's organisation and planning meant everything went like clockwork and the fact that we were able to stay in locations for more than one night made for a relaxed tour. Adam's photographic expertise was most helpful and by the end of the tour I was far more knowledgeable and confident than I was when it started. We would highly recommend Adam's tours!Ruth and Dale April 2023

Oh My Goodness! This tour was all I hoped for and more. Adam had things set up so everything went off without a hitch. Rooms were good. Food was fine and the guides and drivers (and Adam) made this trip SOOO fantastic. From the behind the scenes opportunities at monasteries and festivals, to the sharing of culture that came from our local drivers and guides, this truly was a once in a lifetime experience. Of course, the group of photographers were a blast, too. A lot of laughter and comparisons between Aussies, Yanks and Canucks. All good fun. Adam was there to give you photography tips and tricks and help you find the right placement to shoot your best images. We also were able to stop along our routes to enjoy something that caught our photographer's fancy. All in all, I wouldn't change a thing except having to say goodbye to a beautiful country and marvelous people.

I have recently completed the digital printing course with Adam, the course was very interesting and worthwhile. Adam's knowledge and passion was simply outstanding. If you are interested in obtaining high quality results from your printing, I would highly recommend you consider this course.

At the end of November 2019, Adam Monk (Adam Monk Photo Tours) led our lively party of eight friends on a photographic tour of wonderment to Bhutan. The tour was extremely well planned and executed with precision. Local, well-informed guides and careful Bhutanese drivers in excellent vehicles took us on a spectacular drive across Bhutan. Our accommodation was brilliant (give or take a few idiosyncrasies with lighting and plumbing at times) and the food was surprisingly good. Our entry to the festivals always went without a hitch. Adam was always available to assist the keen photographers in our party and was quite gracious towards those who simply wanted to click images with iphones. This small kingdom, the Land of the Thunder Dragon" can easily take your breath away. The topography ascends in layers from the fertile valleys to the majestic heights of the Himalayas. Sinuous

Bhutan was the first and in many ways the best group I have travelled with. Travelling and living at between 2500 and 4000 Mts up the Himilayers is physically difficult but Adam and his team of local guides and drivers made the experience so exciting, from the land slides to the view and visit to the extraordinary Tigers Nest Temple. Adam's assistance was available at all times throughout the groups' travels in Bhutan. I learnt more about my camera and photography with Adam than at any other time.

In 2017 my wife, Honi, and I were lucky enough to undertake a photo tour of Iceland with Adam. It was a truly memorable trip. We got to see and photograph some really spectacular landscapes. In all this Adam provided individual advice and shared many tips and tricks that really enabled us to enhance our skills as photographers. In addition, Adam's follow up and his recent 2022 Photo Live workshop have allowed me to successfully tackle the mysteries of Photographic printing. It's now 2023 and I have just taken a further trip to Karijini Nation park with Adam Monk. Absolutely recommend the trip, the stunning scenery, the accommodation, the unique locations that with Adam's expertise resulted in so many Wow shots. The technical advice provided further enhanced my skill as a photographer. Adam provides individual advice on tripod setups, camera settings, appropriate lens, Lightroom tips and how to best adjust all of this equipment to provide shots to remember.

Adam's 2015 Bhutan Photo Tour was the very first photo tour that my husband and I went on, not really knowing what to expect, but it was a wonderful experience in all respects. The travel arrangements were spot on, everything from the international and internal flights, the cars, drivers and guides (couldn't do much about the roads!), the accommodation and the meals. And as a photographic experience, it was superb - the people, the colours, the landscapes, the festivals, the sunrises and sunsets, and the professional tuition that made sure we made the most of every opportunity. Adam used his local knowledge and many contacts to gain access to some extraordinary viewpoints, always at the right time of day. The group size was about 10 or so, big enough for diversity but small enough for a personal experience. We have gone on since that trip to do others with Adam and have integrated what we learnt into our solo photography trips.

Just completed an excellent digital photo printing workshop with Adam - very clear, patient instruction across the full spectrum of issues arising from this complex photographic area from colour management through to printer settings. Thoroughly recommended!!

I recently joined Adam and Paul on the most wonderful 12 day photography trip to the North Western wilderness region of Tasmania. After a few years of rarely picking up my camera (I'm blaming COVID) I had lost my mojo. After only a couple of days of familiarising myself again with my camera and with some patient encouragement from Adam and Paul it all came back, and some! The itinerary was carefully chosen to give us varied experiences of the wild areas of Tasmania. From blustery, rocky coastal beaches to quiet, green, damp forests and serene, reflective rivers, all with hardly anyone else around.Adam and Paul took great care to manage everything so that we had nothing to worry about, we just had to create magic with our cameras, and that we did.Thank you, I am thrilled with some of my resulting photos, some of which I would never have 'seen' without the expert experience.
