Embedded in the abutments of the freeway bridge are the names of all the battlefields fought in the many wars Australia has participated in. And leading to the bridge is the grand avenue of honour all the way from Ballarat.

A really good memorial to our fallen.Although on a main intersection there's safe parking and pedestrian access as well as an area to sit and contemplate.

The avenue of honour is a great place to go if in the Ballarat area. The trees provide a great memory to those who perished in World War One. The trees were planted by the Lucas girls hence the name Lucas estate which the avenue of honour runs straight past. If going towards Horsham would recommend using the avenue of honour rather than the freeway
