Innisfail Family Health - general medical and skin cancer clinic

I have to say I was a bit reluctant as a newcomer to the area to try this practice, firstly because I didn't think I'd get an appointment when I needed one, and secondly because of what the other reviews say. I've been pleasantly surprised on both counts. For my first appointment, just to renew my prescriptions, I took the first they could give me with a male doctor and it was only a few days after I called. I've now called for an appointment with a female, and could get one again in just a few days. I know that's not great if you are sick and need to see someone straight away, but I'm still happy with the result. If my second appointment goes as well as the first I'll be upping their rating to 5 stars as the experience while I was there was very professional with no dramas.

Dr. Rodney Katton is a good doctor, he always helps as much as he can. He has an interest In mental health and has always seemed to listen to what I have to say about my mental health.

Repulsive service by this practice. They expect you to show up 15 minutes early every visit, yet every visit is AT LEAST a 45 minute to an hour wait to see the doctor, even if you're there first thing in the morning as the first client. To add to this, waiting on an empty script refill for over a week! Something that takes the doctor 20 seconds to do! Dr Coppin legitimately must've got his qualifications out of a weet bix box because the guy is an absolute joke to the profession.

My son woke up with high fever and we called innisfail family health first thing in the morning. They straightaway gave us the appointment.Highly recommend, very experienced Doctors and the ladies at the front are so helpful.Thanks

There staff is always misguided and speak rudely speacial receptionist Annette. I booked my appointment when I go there they said to wait and I wait 1 hour and I talked with receptionist then she said you may go now because you don’t have any appointment and then she talked with other receptionist and she said they are in list. They have to wait little more. After 1.5 hour I got injection.

Really great. Reception staff are efficient and friendly. Dr Samia is terrific, lovely bedside manner and seems incredibly smart and good at her job. Never a long wait either which is a bonus. Also never a long wait for an appointment when you call up to book- can usually see her within a day

If some people think this is bad, don'tgo to Victoria. You will get back to Innisfail so quick, further you will apologise to the Drs and staff here for the rest of your life. I wish we could Dr. Nor back to Victoria with us.

The staff at this clinic are very unprofessional and unfriendly. My sister and I requested a specimen bottle and pathology form for a suspected urinary tract infection for my elderly mother as she has very limited mobility. To cut a long story short the specimen was returned to the clinic ( no form - because they didn’t get their act together and ask Dr Catton for one) where it sat for a week in the fridge untested. Now we have to repeat the whole procedure with our mother who gets quite distressed with life in general. Dr Catton is a very uncaring person who as far as I’m concerned is only interested in the dollar not the patient. He failed to read the hospital discharge notes after Mum had a fall and put her back on Serepax after the Geriatric specialist weaned her off them whilst she was in hospital. Totally would not go to them even if my life depended on it.22/5/2020 Further to above my mother is now in hospital with a serious urinary tract infection.

I found this practice about 2 months ago as I was turned away from ED and needed a doctor.I struggle to find a doctor that actually listens to me.The reception staff have gone above & beyond for me over the past couple of months with an underlying health issue.Cannot fault them.Dr John is such a lovely dr.Quick to get into and lovely staff 5 stars

I have been a patient for the past three years and have found the clinic to be very efficient. As with each individual consultation some run overtime hence a wait occasionally. So call in or ring ahead to ask for a waiting time. Yes, it's sometimes difficult to get an appointment immediately but if you ask you can go on a cancellation list. This has worked for me in the past. Congratulations to the team.
