Mind and Movement WA has changed my life in a much needed positive direction. Learning about mindfulness techniques and utilising them have provided me with new coping tools for stressful changes in my life.When all other methods have had limited success to assist me with symptoms of IBS, I can attest to the fact that mindfulness has personally had positive results, given me the confidence to enjoy life and the courage to tackle new challenges and stresses.The facilitator Kathryn creates such a warm, welcoming and safe environment whereby the importance of 'no judgement' is always encouraged and promoted.Witnessing and joining other attendees as they progressedfrom skepticism to loving kindness was rewarding in itself.

The MBSR is a gift. The commitment of taking 1 hour per day to yourself to explore your body and mind with acceptance, kindness and compassion, guided by the sensitive and experienced facilitator, Kathryn Choules, is truly a radical act of self-love so necessary in this world filled with too much busyness, distractions and illusions. Learning to find the internal balance and spaciousness to be present to everything that life throws at us, is undoubtedly a skill worth investing in. The MBSR takes you from confusion of where and how to start meditating to sitting confidently and comfortably for 45 minutes unguided. My personal experience is of moving a great distance from a deeply held belief of worthlessness to the solid foundation of self-acceptance and self-care to start building my self worth, love and trust. It is an immeasurable gift that you will open every day to reveal ever-increasing levels of stability, grace and presence. Truly the gift that keeps on giving.

I have attended several of Kathryn's 8 week Mind and Movement community classes (now called Mindfulness-From the Inside Out) in the past 5 years or so. I have found the combination of mindfulness/meditation and yoga provided over each 2 hour class highly beneficial and a helpful antidote to life's stresses.Each class is usually divided into 2 sessions of mindfulness, between which there is one session of yoga. Kathryn guides the class through the mindfulness sessions in a calm and supportive manner, making clear that there is no right" or "wrong" way for those taking part and that each person's best efforts are all that is required. Mind and Movement
I participated in the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program and found it a very helpful introduction to mindfulness and approaching life in a different way which for greater choice in how I respond to life's challenges. I found Kathryn to be very knowledgeable on the subject and the program was diverse, experiential and enjoyable. I have recommended it to friends and clients.

I attended a Mind and Movement program earlier in 2017.I found it a rich and fruitful experience, an opportunity to take some precious time and space, where I could stop, pause and reflect. Mind and Movement
I have found the Mind and Movement classes to be enormously beneficial and I look forward to attending each week. Kathryn and Tas both have a wonderfully caring and knowledgeable approach. Through the combination of mindfulness, yoga and meditation, they teach us to be more aware of our thoughts and the potential of our minds to enable us to live lives of awareness, kindness and compassion.

Mind and Movement
I practiced meditation on my own for a number of years, but found the experience of an eight week course at Mind and Movement to be tremendously helpful. For the first time, I connected with others who were having similar thoughts and feelings about meditating. Kathryn is a wonderful teacher and creates an accepting, supportive community among students. I'd recommend her course to anyone looking to start a meditation practice, and those who have one already. Set aside time for yourself and you'll reap huge rewards!
