I haven’t been near a Centrelink office for 25 years or so. My last experience was not pleasant. Well, it was different this time. The office was open plan, security officer nodded a welcome & staff directed me to a desk and the lady helped me. I had to get an identity check... done quickly and efficiently. Very helpful. The system to register for unemployment required me to return home and spend 5 hours Gathering all the info now required, scan documents, and answer a ton of questions online with the system timing out several times during the process. Finally able to book a phone appointment... which is why I went in to the office in the first place. It is a convoluted process just to register as unemployed... but when you get to speak with a real person, they are friendly.

The lady on reception was terse and came across like she didn't want to be there. But the lady (Melony) who looked after me was lovely, she was kind and patient and even though it was the end of the day she had a smile.I would have given 5 stars but the lady at reception was clearly over it, not rude but definitely not a happy camper

I have been here a number of times to register family members with medicare ove the period of 18 months. I have found staff friendly and helpful and the centre well managed.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Big thank you to the friendly security guards at Pakenham branch.

Centre is open plan and as such there is no privacy! I overheard all details of one person, their address phone numbers etc. should have booths!! Plus no seating at the desks!!

My experience today was nothing but exceptional, from the lady at the desk ( Raeleen ) who in my opinion has fantastic customer service skills to the consultant ( Melinda S ) who helped me with the issue at hand. So I would like to say thank you and keep up the good work....

Wow these two stars are for the guy who attended me and the guy at the door. Receptionist was so rude & was looking for trouble even when I was at my best behaviour. Two ladies at the back were talking about customers. How about being professional & put the money they give you to work at some use

The staff didn’t put my claim through properly, they’re incompetent, I waited 50 mins and the place was a ghost town. The staff on the phone are just as bad. Even though my claims been approved, still no money! I’m going to have to try a fourth time today and I’ll probably be screwed around again with their poor excuses. Is it really that hard to push buttons? Bunch of monkeys

Have to say I was very impressed with the Pakenham Centrelink Office especially Marie who was just lovely and very attentive when helping me yesterday to get some clarification on the reason as to why my pension application was delayed. Much appreciated and situation resolved.
