Very terrible experience with one of the owners. The man with the white platted beard was disgusting to my friend and myself. He was extremely rude to us. We were just trying to locate our family who had already arrived and we had never been to the camp site before. We were both shocked at his horrible manner. Will not be back.

Popular Tourist stop - Affordable, Convenient and often used for group bookings. Large areas to choose from close to local shops and the Mary river (gold coin showers - clean bathrooms)

Don’t recommend going here! The male owner is extremely rude with no manners. Got yelled at 2 mins after arriving just for trying to find my family. Recommend going to the other farms around the corner. Way better camp and better service.

Beware the caretaker he is rude and almost ran me over as I went to the office to ask for site change as there were 4 happy dogs on the site he wanted us to use. As my husband moved to the second site we had booked to talk to our friends he told us we couldn't move without his permission even to our other site. He screamed and carried and said well go somewhere else, which we decided to do. As we tried to leave the showground he purposely kept pulling his golf buggy Infront of us causing us to swerve and almost causing a collision. We weren't allocated sites in the area we requested either. That caretaker needs to be replaced. We have been there many times over the years and never had these issues before. I have dashcam footage of the near collision.

Usually our trips to Kenilworth showgrounds are great from the minute we get there until we pack up and leave. We have kept coming back because it is central, tidy affordable and staff particularly Wombat and Sue are so friendly and helpful.This time we were arriving late but not a problem said Tony when we booked as all we needed to do was call and he would be happy to meet us and guide us to our site.When we arrived we called a few times and were told where to go to and advised of our site number...a bit hard in the dark I can say but we located it and proceeded to back in.A shirtless bloke arrived about 5 minutes later....we now know this now to be the Camp Mgr Tony . He seemed surprised and oddly annoyed at us...can I help you he said...not said in a way that he was wanting to but more like what are you doing here. We attempted to explain telling him the site number we had been allocated....who said that? Who told you to park there he asked in a passive aggressive way...we told him and he told us we needed to straighten the van up. We politely asked what the TV reception was like attempting to make conversation and break through the tension...I don't know I don't camp here was the reply as he abruptly left. Leaving us feeling rattled and offended.Today we paid for our stay...and asked where Tony was...learning he has left for a holiday which is probably a very good move considering his rude demeanour. Hopefully he comes back in a better more customer focused mood.

Great place to camp - cheap at $25 per night per powered site with water. Toilets, showers and dump point, camp fires allowed. Close to town, cheese factory, bakery, chocolate shop etc.Really nice, helpful caretaker, beautiful green, large sites.Highly recommended

I picked this location for my first van camping test trip. A friend from a caravan club recommended this as a good place to start. I only stayed 2 nights but found the experience wonderful. The caretaker was welcoming and very relaxed and friendly. I found the bathroom and toilets clean and well kept. My dogs enjoyed their first camp and we agreed this was a great place to start with good amenities and a lovely view across the river with cows and misted mountains. Cheers
