RACT Batteries
I rang RACT Travel on wednesday 11th November at about 2PM. I was unable to speak to a travel consultant personally as I assume they were busy. A recorded message asked me to leave a message, which I did. I gave my name, address and phone number and stated the reason for my call ( I wanted to travel to Europe 2016.) I have yet to receive a return call and it is thursday evening. Disappointed.

Have purchased a marine battery for my boat, it dropped a cell within the first 12 months. Was offered a replacement battery, it has now died also. So TWO failed marine batteries in 2 years.Im still waiting to hear what RACT are going to do about it

Not a great experience. Rang to discuss battery purchase & install, the rep was friendly & helpful right up to the point when he found out I wasn't a member, then he became much less helpful and was sure to point out how they would absolutely offer no assistance beyond giving me the battery (no testing, no waiting to ensure the vehicle started). I understand it's only a battery purchase, but it doesn't mean you can't be friendly or helpful if I'm not a member - I'm still a customer. I went with Island Batteries instead and received outstanding service there.

Super friendly, knowledgeable and happy to assist. Been only a member for a few months and glad to have made this choice. They came around to do a diagnosis and spent a good 30 mins checking all systems and made a recommendation. The battery was slightly more expensive than retail at $355 but comes with 36 month warranty and the convenience of it being changed in my driveway.
