Yarrabing Wetlands Reserve
Good for a stroll around for a look. Backs onto the Dandenong Creek pathway which links up to other parks and wetlands. Looks fairly new so may be a work in progess or waiting on nature to develop. Would not make a special visit but if your close by.....

This part of the wetlands is a much more appealing place to take a look at. It's in-between the golf course and housing area and despite that it's very well preserved, with lots of plant and bird life as well.

Nestled between the rolling greens of a golf course lies a hidden gem of a wetlands area, teeming with local wildlife. This picturesque setting offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, and a chance to connect with nature, although I must admit at times you can hear the vehicles on the Eastern Freeway that now cuts through there!.As you stroll along the winding paths, you'll be serenaded by the cheerful songs of crimson rosellas and rainbow lorikeets, who flit from tree to tree in a kaleidoscope of colours. If you're lucky, you might even spot a king parrot perched high up in the branches, its vibrant red and green plumage standing out against the blue sky.But the real stars of the show are the ducks, who paddle lazily in the waters of the wetlands. With their sleek feathers and comical waddles, they never fail to bring a smile to your face. You might even catch sight of a family of ducklings, following their mother in a neat line as they explore their watery home.As you take in the sights and sounds of this idyllic setting, it's easy to forget that you're just a stone's throw from the golf course. The wetlands area can be a peaceful oasis, offering a respite from your normal busy day activities. So why not take a break from the golf course and spend some time in this charming wetlands area? You're sure to leave feeling refreshed and renewed, with a newfound appreciation for the natural beauty that surrounds you in this area, which I would say is perfect for locals. However, if travelling, I wouldn't be going out of my way to visit when you could find other beautiful spots that haven't got a freeway going through it.

Just off to the side of part of the Dandenong creek trail, it is a nice little piece of bush separate from the hustle and bustle of the shared bike/walking track.
