Red Hill Hotel
A confirmed booking over one week prior but no table available for our group when we arrived on time, some of whom had travelled 2hrs. No real apology , no genuine concern shown. Offered to prepare outside table in cold 11C evening but nothing else forthcoming. Extremely embarrassing for us after inviting guests for a special evening during Castlemaine state festival. Very luckily The Railway rescued our evening with great meals and a professional service

Absolutely outstanding food, vibes and service. Fresh, seasonal ingredients and new takes on pub classics. Worth a trip from Melbourne for the meal alone.

Food is amazing and the staff are great, outside is also dog friendly which is great. A really cute spot for a Saturday getaway.

Been to the Red Hill Hotel a few times now and will return again. I had the chicken parma with some curried chips on the side - it was first class. Great atmosphere but can be a little loud if you have a large table next door. It didn't bother us but something to be aware of, but hey its an old pub with timber floors. Good menu with a reasonable selection of wines and beer. For those more inclined to sit outdoors then a beer garden is provided as well as seats out front. Parking is plentiful.

So so so good. So welcoming, Best selections of beers and other things to drink. Great food, service. Will go as often as we can !
