Amora Hotel Riverwalk Melbourne

I enjoyed my stay at Amora, the staff was friendly and nice. The location was amazing with riverside walk. What I enjoyed the most was the food. Their baked barramundi was delicious but a bit pricey. I do think the rooms were a bit outdated in terms of decor and overall ambience. Our toilet was not clean when we checked in which was a turn off.

Great stay, but they advertise free fingerfood during happy hour on Fridays. We waited nearly 2 hrs & only got two pieces each. Also, on checkin they gave me a business card which has our room number on it, they never said what it was. I thought it was so we would remember our room number. It was only on check out that I realised it was a drink voucher for 2. I'll know better next time but the staff could've told me what it was. Overall, it was a great place to stay, short tram ride into the city, nice walks along the Yarra. Good breakfast, nice room with a balcony. We'll probably stay again but won't hold our breath waiting for the finger food.

We stayed one night for a wedding, great location for our needs. Room was clean and provided what we needed. Best most comfortable beds I've ever slept on in a hotel! Would most definitely recommend them.

This hotel is perfect for enjoying an awesome neighborhood of Melbourne. It was my first time in Australia, and this hotel's location was the perfect home base for exploring coffee, food, and the beautiful riverwalk. The room was so comfortable, and it had everything I needed for a great night's sleep! I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Melbourne.

Overall it was a good experience, the location was perfect for my function. Rooms were good but a little dated maybe.My main issue was I booked a queen room with a balcony, and all the photos showed balconies with tables and chairs. What I got was a tiny corner big enough for one person to stand (photo attached). I went down and said it was a little misleading, the manager barely looked up from the computer and just said ok I’ll put you in another room, and gave me keys. This other room did have a balcony but it was tiny and only had a shower over bath. At this point I went back down and said I’ll keep the original room and I ended up apologising for being annoying! When really I got a bad deal to begin with.Most of the staff were absolutely lovely and there was a nice vibe about the place.I had dinner there both nights and I do think it was quite overpriced. I have attached a photo of the $22 calamari I ordered, which was nice but I felt a little ripped off. The barramundi was really good but again $44 with no potato’s. Maybe I’ve just forgotten what Melbourne prices are like. I would recommend to stay here and I would definitely stay again.

Great stay but the room wasn’t very clean. Dust on skirting boards and surfaces, dusty toilet and mold on shower. Weeds growing through cracks in the balcony.Everything else was great. Service and staff 5 stars. Ps this is was mid November we stayed I just forgot.

A lovely place that is very clean with the most friendliest, polite and helpful staff. In a very convenient spot that is close to the city with trams just out the door. Beautiful views with lots of shops on Bridge Road. Highly recommended.

Room was nice. Breakfast was ok for the price, although the coffee machine was not working well and the coffee was terrible. Spat water and steam everywhere ( not just us). Staff came over and noted the milk was empty but didn’t fill it. Also very noisy humming fridge all night.

Great cafes around the area and handy to city. Rooms are nice enough but the service has been lacking on our last visit. It's ok but there is not a level of warmth in being a guest that would make me overly recommend here or chose to come back.

Location not bad easy to get to trams, rooms are comfy. Wouldn't advise to get a cocktail from the bar not presented well, not worth what you pay and to add to it 30c surcharge is charged every time you pay by card. Not happy about that given everyone would pay electronically these days and we should have been advised. Also states in the hotel compendium that airport transfers can be arranged but when we inquired we were advised they did not. Balconies could also be better maintained and cleared of dirt on the rails and spider webs.
