Such a hidden gem of a place. Lovely helpful staff. Brilliantly kept gardens full of all sorts of secrets and memories of the the estates history. If you a plant lover or take an interest in the past a visit is a must!

The tour guide was genius thanks Charles you have immense knowledge, $30 entry a couple , the house as you would expect dating back to 1860’s, very grand for that time, gardens spectacular. Just thought it a bit rich $6.75 for a can of Fanta, would have expected half a cocktail

What a wonderful winter escape birthday I enjoyed at Ripponlea High Tea in June 23. Isaac and Danni were so attentative to our dietary and drinks needs. The food was the freshest and very beautifully presented with flower trimmings and decadent glassware. The scones freshly baked; exquisite and so soft and warm, melting in your mouth. The outdoor pool patio was yesteryear splendour and the market was an added bonus! That old huge rooted tree was amazing. We loved every minute of it!

Beautiful historic mansion and an excellent tour guide. The 1890s kitchen rooms downstairs were fascinating in their original condition. The gorgeous gardens were an added adventure. Well worth the time to go see.

Australian Theatre Company's performance of Alice in Wonderland. Beautiful setting, great cast and set-up. Really interacted with all present - adults and children. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Beautiful gardens and very well kept! A great place for a stroll and a picnic.I would personally say that the entrance fee is a bit steep for just a garden.... There's also not a lot of toilets and they are not the most accessible.

I shot another happy wedding here, and enjoyed the entire event :) So easy to get great footage eeeeverywhere we shot. The Big front entry, the front lawn, the pool, the fernery and the roses and everything.The staff treated us very kindly too. Because they were so helpful, we were able to get very nice footage of the couple celebrating inside the mansion.I hadn't been here for about a year, and I was happy to return again :)

Fabulous garden, some trees dating back to the mid 1800s. Lots of space to roam, take a picnic, there is a lovely lake with a waterfall, boathouse and rotunda overlooking the garden. When the lilies bloom it would be very Monet-ish.I took the mansion tour which was fun and the guide was very informative. Kitchens below were worth seeing.Such a fabulous spot to be found in the suburbs.An easy train ride from the city to Ripponlea Station the n a short walk.
