The store itself was decent but the “customer service” experience we received was rude and condescending. My partner and I went here on the 20/09/2022 to scope out a new medium he wanted to try out. The lady sat behind the desk most of the time and when we asked questions about the value of the products she raised her voice and made condescending remarks. This made us feel like it was a problem answering our questions. We are new to this medium and for the lady to talk down to us really put us off even starting this project that we wanted to when we first entered the store. If you don’t like people, don’t work in retail. Or anywhere. Didn’t bother to tell us about the $20 GST charge either. We spent time and money in here, we’re shocked and disappointed by the service we received.

I have had the most amazing service from the technical adviser. Talking me through my project and ensuring I have the right product and am using the correct techniques. If I could give Thea more stars I would. Fantastic customer support.

They put in effort, but don't seem to really know their own products. Advertise a high temp resistant silicone but no indication of flash points and staff are not knowledgeable, nor have the reference details.Further, portions are not necessarily accurate. Calculating pours with 20% contigency but still don't have a enough somehow, ruining the whole pour. Considering the high cost of their products this is extremely disappointing.I would recommend finding another supplier if you are serious about your work. This is a hobby/convenience store at best.

Pretty disappointed several times now. While they carry stock on hand in Brunswick, their hipster tax isn't worth the issues on some of the quality of products offered at premium prices. Multiple times now I've had to rework pieces to fix up to finish and it's not worth the subpar quality and premium price to suit. Even buying their product in store has a different price sticker from wholesalers lesser then what they have it listed online, plus shipping to insult. Highly recommend buying elsewhere.

I could not recommend Barnes Brunswick store highly enough. Thank you to Sam who, today, spent an enormous amount of time educating me, answering all my questions and re- answering when required. Extremely helpful and informative. Even though I was there for over 2 hours I did not feel rushed or annoying at all. Sam your customer service and knowledge were brilliant. Coming from a place if no knowledge I feel a little more confident in the projects I can make with this very cool stuff.

I have now spent over $150 on products that were not suitable for my needs and were wasted and had to be thrown out. As someone starting out I followed all the instructions and also watched instructional videos. Set times didn’t match a product I was using which i mixed correctly and couldn’t achieve desired outcome during test. A 9 minute set time actually went over 25 mins. For someone starting out you are sort of left to your own devices in the store. Feels like you need a lot of knowledge prior to purchase. Going to have to go elsewhere.

Terrible return policy - hardline customer service - I just wanted to swap a resin powder i bought online in lockdown that was actual metal copper powder not copper coloured tint - no use by etc - so I'm taking my business to Art Tree or Over the Rainbow. And I have an unused jar of copper sitting here to remind me everyday. frustrating.

Shop is closed at 12.30pm. A retail store closed during the times of people's lunch break. Thanks for wasting my time.

Love this store. I gave Dalchem a 5 star rating, but for my needs this place is better. The only draw back, it's in Brunswick, and I live in the South East. Dalchem is much closer but I will make the drive for better prices and better service.
