David ReviewI spoke to David, part owner at the front desk over the phone to make an appointment. He was incredibly rude, passive aggressive and had no customer service skills. I have been to the salon before and wanted book again. I did the ‘normal’ thing and asked about price, and questioned why the significant increase. David was irritated that I questioned stated “that was 2022 this is 2023” and that i was getting a more senior stylist which i was fine with and happy to proceed. I was about to give him my credit card information and asked what the cancellation policy is, but that I would probably come. I was quite set on going and the word ‘probably’ seemed to bother him. I could have said I was 100% going and cancelled before the 24 hour window, but no one is ever 100% anyways. He said my attitude towards the price and inquiry about the cancellation policy made him feel like I was going to cancel and that he wasn’t going to make the appointment. I was being thoughtful to the business by enquiring about a cancellation policy in case something came up. If a business has a 24 hour cancellation policy they should stick to it instead of turning repeat customers away for asking questions. My “attitude” towards the price was being surprised about the new price as I paid less last time, I was more than happy to pay more this time- it was simply a question. Based on the other reviews regarding him it seems that his lack of customer service skills and basic respect is engrained in him and that he is indeed the problem. Last time I was there I had a lovely experience with the hair stylists and it is a shame that he alone is bringing down his own business and losing customers because of it.

All the staff at David Murry Salon are amazing! My main stylist is Emma, who does the best foil work in Brisbane! Nails my colour everytime. Very reasonable prices for the elevated service they provide. Cannot recommend them more!

I don’t think I’ve ever had a more positive customer experience at a hair salon! I was greeted by David and offered a selection of drinks, along with a head massage before I even saw my stylist. My stylist gave me a wonderful cut, blowout and even a little welcome gift as a new customer. Everyone was so lovely and friendly and I was genuinely wowed by the whole experience. 10/10 would recommend and return again!

Had a great experience by Taylor at David Murry Salon. it was the first time for me at the Salon and I was extremely happy with the style cut Taylor done for me. I highly recommend the David Murry salon the girls and guys there go above and beyond to make sure you have a fabulous relaxing experience with your desired outcome. I will definitely be back.

I came in with very damaged hair, and very high hopes of leaving with a balayage. After years of straightening, black box dye, box dye colour strippers and terrible hair products; I thought I would never be able to achieve what I wanted without all of my hair snapping off. But today, Monty showed me otherwise. After a strand test we found out my hair couldn’t handle much bleach. Monty explained what he could do with my damaged hair to still help me get a similar look to what I wanted. I decided to trust him and I am so glad I did, it turned out amazing considering what I have put my hair through. I feel confident in my hair for the first time in years.He’d also recommended me a budget-friendly product to help keep my hair hydrated after the colouring; so I can continue to go lighter in the future.I can’t thank you enough Monty!! You’re amazing.

I could not be happier with my experience at David Murray salon! The lovely and talented Emily has worked on my hair both times I’ve been to the salon, and she is a true professional. I requested her exclusively to freshen up my hair for my upcoming wedding and she delivered 120%!! She takes great care and nailed the exact colour and cut that I wanted and has made me one very happy bride-to-be! I have been seeing Emma for a number of years now & she is just wonderful. I have struggled in the past as my hair can be difficult at times but Emma can cut my hair like no one else! I’m not sure what I’d do if she left hairdressing! Thanks Emma, you are the best x
